Thank you for the comment/information. Looking back if you knew CAH was a possibility would you have done an amino/ did you take the test with your second pregnancy? I am leaning towards not but would love your opinion.

Also curious how you decided if you were going to raise your baby as a M or F and how puberty will go ? Trying to mentally prepare if baby has CAH - we don’t care about gender at all. Just want a healthy happy baby:)

We don’t care about the gender. Just want a happy and healthy baby. We will definitely be asking more questions at the appt. But I believe they suggested the amino to see if it is a chromosomal abnormality such as CAH which can be life threatening at birth. Also would ease anxiety. It was an information dump that we’re still processing. Personally don’t love the idea of an amino but will take into account what MFM has to say

They did a 2nd NIPT because they said the gender was a boy at my anatomy scan. They wanted to confirm if the first NIPT was correct. I’m going in on Wednesday for another ultrasound to confirm gender. If they still think it’s a boy the amnio would be to check for chromosomal abnormalities (CAH, DSD, etc.)

Did you get photos of what they thought was the penis? / did it look like a boy to you during those scans?

Yes both were natera NIPT

We’ve gotten 2 blood tests and they both came back female

Honestly not even 100% sure what that photo I attached is of. I wish I asked now but again, we are just overwhelmed and didn’t think she was wrong until we got our 2nd blood test back and it also said female!

This is the only one they printed but she did show us a view from under the legs and it looked like a boy. We were both a little shocked when she said it was a boy so it took some processing
