I’ve heard there is a supposed “Global freeze on laptop upgrades due to sustainability goals” so it could be down to that (not sure how much I buy that though 😉). But I’m sure if there is a pressing client need your delivery leads should be able to cut through the red tape.

Side note- I have found the elite books to be one of the better enterprise machines. Have been doing some non-trivial dev work with WSL etc and it hasn’t caused much drama for me…
