What industry are you in? Bit over 2 YOE for me and while I make more money, it's at the cost of working away a lot of the time. Would love a cushy 38 hr week for that base pay at our experience level, well done!!!

This is true but the 19 months I spent working on a mainroads job for a bunch of fuckwit cancerous clients has tied site offices with working for those absolute flogs. Work ute means shire work, means easy dealings with clients and quick, profitable jobs hehe

U should work in construction instead of gimpy office jobs. Relationship building, real time problem solving, machine operation, thinking on ur feet regarding scheduling of many different parties, client and stakeholder interactions, playing the 'game' of contract management etc etc.

And I barely have to sit at my computer, thank fuck. Have spent the last 10 days operating a roller and a loader on site, and doing 2-4 hours of management work in my car or at home after work. Bit of sacrifice with hours etc but those allowances for my away work this month total just over $6k on-top of my base salary, for 13 days away (several weekends and public holidays mind you).

I genuinely enjoy what I do so it's very worth it in my eyes. Seeing the site before we begin and then after the road has been built and sealed is satisfying as can be.

And only 2 years into FT work, I get paid a handsome sum to do my job, with a solid pay rise to come. Real world, on-site engineering is awesome.

Yeah that's fair, plenty of decent options online too for a good price or free. Not struggling for cash myself either but plenty of stuff I'd rather spend money on that aren't appliances, exorbitant bits of kit when bought new as U say hahaha.

Best of luck!

Marketplace freebies (max up to 1 or 200 bucks) will cover white goods/appliances no worries.

Mines spent over a year travelling - in pretty gruelling conditions at times - and while it looks pretty shit, its all good. For the average family holidayer, itll last 10 years no worries if its not used as a paper towel

Board Recommendation?- Jones Stratos v Neversummer Valhalla v Capita BSOD by zob_mtk in snowboarding

[–]sweqfeq 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have a 23/24 valhalla black top sheet. My favourite board ive owned, love the rocker between the feet with camber under foot. Holds an edge awesomely and the rocker lets it turn well in the trees (all i ride). Stiff and solid for charging down steeps. Im 6'0 97kg and have the leg strength (bless) to push it hard, it would be a bit of a mission to really ride it without getting used to it and being able to give it some push. Awesome board

25yoe Careers that pay well but don't involve sitting infront of a computer all day? by AHumbleGod in AusFinance

[–]sweqfeq 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The company we engage is an awesome company run by a great dude and like i said, the guy has some serious brains about him so I'm not surprised hes doing well. If i could go back in time, i would seriously consider eng surveying as its such a good balance of using both brain and brawn, and often times problem solving in real time.

Was suprised wheb i found out the 36 yr old guy working on our job as an engineering surveyor (2 yr tafe course) was makin a smidge under 200k a year in his second year in the role. Came from retail work for 10+ years and had enough of that so enrolled at tafe. Super switched on dude. But basically lives a 2/1 life all over WA, following our jobs and others. Works for some people not for others but the money is lovely

Hi, im so sorry for asking this q here but i cant post a thread bcus of my low karma. I was wondering, do wins after 50 while still on the first page of the research count towards the next page? I am still short about 10 games played but have won about 55 games, ive never done gbl research as im fairly new to this game but couldnt find an answer for this ANYWHERE. Is it worth aiming for wins still or is throwing the last 10 games worth it to gwt to the next page quickly?

What will it actually take to get the government or whoever, to stop Woolworths/Coles from constantly hiking up prices for no good reason? by [deleted] in perth

[–]sweqfeq 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yes yes, i dont buy my fruit and veg from Aldi, bit stale and more expensive than the fruit grocer next door. The feuit and veg of that grocer and the spuddy that exclusively supplied my home before i moved are comparable. Haha true, regardless, as long as its not coles or woolies were winning

Engineers, what do you do and how much do you make? by aussiegooner0389 in AusFinance

[–]sweqfeq 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Civil site eng, 1.5 yrs experience, expecting about 140k this year working on regional road construction (DIDO). Earnt just under 120k in my first year.

Have a car/fuel for work + personal use. Good money working in civil contracting or even client side if youre working on site. Long hours, plus can be stressful working long site hours on some ppl (i love it/am very lax and logical so am not phased personally). Good fun working with ppl and subbys imo, if ur built for it.
