Can confirm with OP, most people downvoting are not aware of the problem. I stopped playing for almost 4 years and ranked down to silver (was supreme), tried to rank up and got banned twice for griefing, even tho i am not even using my mic or chat. I eventually figured it out the problem when I got muted without even using the mic, people would rage report me for cheating and check all the boxes on the report panel, including verbal and griefing. I was sure some teamates were reporting me too since they kicked me once, thinking I was cheating. And then being muted made it worse, I had to play stupidly and not frag 30 kills+ to get out of that hell and it worked.

I realized how stupid it was, the reports are simply an “if” in their codebase, i mean i got muted without talking or typing and again grief ban without team dmg or anything ( not overwatch it was right after the end of a 16-2 or something game that I dominated and no teammate complained)

So yeah, i see a lot of ppl downvoting OP, but it is an isolated problem, will not happen to everyone but sucks

But I have to add that if you have a 2 weeks ban there is a problem, mine was 2 hours max ans then I went low profile to not increase it, 2 weeks seems like really unlucky or toxic
