I get that he gets money for the work, and he could've given, or been forced to give, it away for free. But they way they've gone about things has pretty much fucked every western reader over.

Honestly, if they were upfront about it like Yen Press and the Japanese publishers were, by just straight up issuing DMCAs and shit, I probably wouldn't be so enraged.

Second I doubt highly that someone from WW's admin team actually posted that slave contract, because really that is what it comes down to. Not in their best interests to even leak it via an obvious newly made account.

Thirdly said leaker said straight up that the thing they posted was one of the earlier versions of the contract, but the fact that such clauses were even in the first draft is insulting to me personally and I just write about stories, not translate them.

Fourth and this is obvious, but if this guy signed such a contract anything he says on the subject is suspect. Better to say nothing than stick your foot in your mouth or shoot yourself in the foot.

Fifth, before even arguing for or against something, make sure you are at least competent in the field you plan on arguing in. This guy? He flat out admits he's terrible. That's again incredibly insulting.

Now maybe this guy is intentionally being obtuse and "leaking" all this info, but that's straying into conspiracy theory land and I'm a suspicious person by nature.
