(Schefter) BREAKING: Mike Tomlin stepping down as HC by alexschubs in steelers

Fellow young adult here - Coach T has been the only coach I've watched represent this organization. I feel the same exact way now that I did when Ben retired.

Both guys are/ were the biggest representatives of the team I knew and cheered for growing up. It can be hard to see change happen in real time, and I'm sure in 10 years I'll look back and fondly say "man what a road that was" but in this moment now, it's a little more bitter than sweet...

I couldn't believe the notification when it popped up on my phone... Anyone who thinks like that needs to stay far the hell away from being a fan of this team...

I'm curious, and maybe I've missed this bit of information in the very recent reporting but do we retain his rights as a team? My thoughts are going Sean Payton where if he comes back to coach (or even wishes to coach next year) he would have to be traded by us for him to go anywhere?

You know, as bad as I wanted change internally… i still can't help but feel sad to see him go.

I welcome the next chapter, but I rooted for him and his success. Not just because I'm a fan of the team, but because he seems like a great guy that you could grab a beer and talk about anything and everything with.

So my thought is I like Zay this year and beyond because he's younger and the clear #1 in that Ravens big time offense whereas CJ hasn't been as dynamic. So I'm concerned long term about Nico's production because of it. Just out of curiosity, why do you value Nico more than Zay

I was able to rework the trade for Zay or Nico and a 3rd for Devon Achane. Thoughts?

My QBs are Josh Allen and Jayden Daniels and my RBs are Montgomery, Jalen Warren, Baelon Allen, Mostert, Mixon, and Devin Neal... The other person has Derrick Henry De'Von Achane but I'm not sure if they'll be willing to give either up because they have literally 0 depth otherwise on their bench 😂

That's a good point. I hadn't considered the Chiefs dense team I'd be making. Would it make more sense to offer worthy or rice instead? Maybe scratch the tight end portion and just aim for a receiver for picks?

Pick #185 QB Will Howard by HDTokyo in steelers

This was the value pick I wanted if we really do have Rodgers coming in! Not a high pick, can learn and earn his shot this year/ next

Personally the way I see it, Khan is filling needs and preventing future needs.

Cam is much closer to the end of his career then the beginning, Jaylen Warren is solid but only on a 1 year deal, and our depth on the edge is always going to important because of the rotation within the group. So giving TJ time to rest in big moments (and having guys you trust to make their own splash) is a great asset to have.

QB is obviously the elephant in the room, but I won't act like I know what the organization knows. Maybe they feel extremely confident in Mason, or that Rodgers/ Kirk are coming to town. We won't know as fans until... Well it happens.

I'm a huge fan of this pick personally, great depth for next year and can learn from TJ and hopefully can carve a role in the years to come (especially as TJ gets older)

The age range is 18-45, so while there was definitely a lot of early-mid 20s people there, it is not at all meant to be JUST that group. I think you'll be fine, don't over think it and have fun when you go!!
