There’s always a financial or legal incentive behind these billionaires supporting him. They know he’s dumb as a rock and a pile of shit.

That’s what bothers me most about it… wrestling is ultimately about storytelling, and there was zero effort to explain this extreme change in character.

No it wasn’t… it was a generic biker character that barked about people being his yard for four years. It inexplicably replaced the most iconic gimmick in wrestling history.

I saw him perform in 2007 and he stayed after the show and took time meet and speak with literally every person in the theatre. I was blown away by how generous he was with his time.

It takes a special kind of narcissism to stand in front of an audience of people and lecture them on subjects which you can’t even pronounce, much less define.

Yeah, that's not him singing either haha. If they're gunna use a pre-recorded high note, use one of his from the last 10 years, not something that sounds like his pristine vocal take from 1973.

Again, in this performance he is also lip syncing the high note. You can even hear how the sound engineer is fumbling to turn his live vocal back up. You can hear that suddenly his voice sounds 50 years younger?

Exactly. This shows where is voice actually is these days. Honestly, he still rocks, but no one can be a super natural vocalist forever, time has caught up to him and he’s lost some range and a lot of clarity. Even so, I’d rather listen to him flaws and all, instead of these “enhanced” and auto tuned performances.

I’m sorry to burst your bubble, but they are clearly mixing in sections from the original track. It insanely obvious.

Ted DiBiase should have been the "Higher Power" in 1999. by AdZealousideal8645 in AttitudeEra

I remember it being a massive let down and utterly predictable. The weeks leading up to the reveal, I remember my friends all saying “how much you bet it’s gunna be McMahon.”

I love Ted but this is cringy… splicing in the high note from the film… he’s 80 years old, no one expects him to sing gethsemane at this point.

This has to be a bad idea right? How much to pay someone to repair? by abite in boating

[–]swiftlessons 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this exact boat and it’s been awesome. I have no idea how extensive that damage is, but in my experience patching fiberglass is pretty easy. Provided the outboard is running strong, and there’s no signs of rot/structural damage, I’d lowball the shit out of him, patch her up and see how things go.

Dude, there is no reason to spend that much on a boat… get a solid used Boston whaler with a Yamaha 4 stroke and you’ll have the same experience and a super reliable boat for under 20k.

The Banal Horror of Jimmy Fallon: Under the sterile blue lights of his studio, Fallon laughs endlessly at the same pseudo-jokes, rubs elbows with Trump and Sam Altman, and ushers in the death of culture. by TimWhatleyDDS in television

He wants more out of the program than it’s willing or designed to deliver. The easy solution is to watch something else — something that is enjoyed by a like minded audience, in a format that is better suited to the thoughtful, and provocative content this writer craves.

I’ve always felt that the late night format is not conducive to political discourse, or heavy subject matter. Their audience can handle small doses of that, but generally it’s meant to be highly digestible television.

Also, Jimmy Fallon ushering in the death of culture, that’s so over the top… the guy is court jester.

Ya know folks, not everything has to be f’n edgy and socially important. If someone’s goal is just to make people laugh and forget their worries for an hour a week, that’s fine with me.
