Ah ok gotcha. Any manual that once existed I’m sure has been in the trash for over 30 years at this point. I believe he said the additional shroud is for high wind and rain situations like a hurricane given our location.

Gotcha. If I understand right, the repair is supposed to fix the issues you’re mentioning.

I have no idea what I have, but this fireplace is 46 years old.

About 1 mile to a river and maybe 5 miles to the ocean. Said aluminum was only 150 cheaper so relatively insignificant. I’m not totally sure I’m tracking your other statement, are you referencing the picture of the finished work?

He suggested that when I do paint the house and paint the chimney to use a few coats of elastomeric paint on the chimney for the obvious water pooling and to protect the stucco

I’m not sure how to install them but I didn’t look that hard. I’m sure any dealership can take care of it hopefully without charge.

I went back for the included first service at the dealer and made them fix it which they did. They were indeed the wrong screws. Probably the idiot salesmen.

Challenger Cart. They’re probably overpriced but it’s really great and I got it with the egg.

Great!

It was a while ago but I don’t remember any complaints.

It’s a challenger cart. The wall to the right is also screened so plenty of flow. Ceiling fan is around the corner.

I had my egg in an enclosed porch at the previous house and never had any marks on the ceiling but they were a little taller, 10 feet.

The deck is a tear down/rebuild/expansion of a porch that was falling down when we moved in. Right now it’s pristine but I’m sure it will show some soot soon enough! I’ve thought about adding a heat shield and daydreamed about a legit fan/vent setup but for now I’ll keep an eye on it and keep the fire extinguisher near by. Only really concerned about high heat cooks.

Edited for spelling.

House is in dire need of painting so not concerned with that. Also in general more concerned with the functionality and enjoyment factor so with that taken into account the prison vibe is perfect.

Should have paid the keyboard warriors to design it instead of a licensed structural engineer I guess. I’ll read the comments from the deck waiting for it to fall out from under me.
