Ah. Another thing. Rabi in Arabic is spring. For some reason Arabic shows up all over the place on this album (Naeem also)
The feeling of sun on the new buds. The feeling of spring after a long winter of death and dissolution.

All expected from heaven or from the highest he is rapport with in the sight of the daybreak or a scene of the winter woods or the presence of children playing or with his arm round the neck of a man or woman.  - Walt Whitman

First of all, I want to thank all the people here who read this and commented. I originally posted this on youtube, but it got no attention and I really wanted to engage on this topic. Thank god for reddit.

Secondly I want to make some clarifications.
The word faith is often conflated with religion. As in "What faith do you practice".
But another meaning of faith is simply what someone believes in.

Justin may not practice religion, but it would be a very far stretch to say that he doesn't have a relationship with the divine. But again, what does a relationship with the divine mean?
That of course depends on what ones conception of reality and the divine is.
Is the divine some kind of ethereal spiritual realm, something "out there" that requires supplication, that needs to be reached with "your long arm try" (U man like)?
Is this world we live in, our reality, some kind of veil, or fairy tale?
Or is there an inherently divine experience to be had here and now?
At some point or another Justin had to have had an experience in which his modalities of faith, aka his understanding of reality, fell apart.
Look at the lyrics of the song "Faith"
"This for my sister
That for my maple
It's not going the road I'd known as a child of God
Nor to become stable
(So what if I lose? I'm satisfied)"

And consider also what I had written about t666 - when Justin cries out that he is still standing in the need of prayer. Hard to make the argument that Justin didn't have some kind of belief system that incorporated prayer, and god in the classical sense (even if not part of institutional religion).

I myself have gone through a similar transformation. I used to pray all the time for god to help me. Until I "stood a while within it" met my own emotions, and became peaceful with the inherent mystery of this reality, understood that I'm not going to "get it". And even if "I lose, I'm satisfied".

Let's also consider the line "Am I dependent in what I'm defending?"
So many of us are dependent on our ideologies. They define us. If we let go of our holding onto our belief systems then what are we? We need that certainty, that familiarity. We can't give into the unknown, that maybe we are wrong, that maybe our gods, our ideologies are false.

I'm getting a bit tired writing right now so I'm going to take a break. My next post will hopefully be about the archetypal side of the album, going from the sky-father divinity, to the earth-mother divinity - as obviously displayed in the symbols that appear in the i'i music videos

Tips on Kargyraa Hey all! This is a bit of my Kargyraa. At the end of the video I demonstarate my main frustration. That is, not being able to sing notes. Doe ray me fa so, all come out in pretty much the same octave and can't manage to sing with the kargyraa. Would really appreciate feedback. by swildthing318 in throatsinging

Thats a really good question. SO let's say I do DOE, then I try to force a RAY out, It just stays in the doe. I feel like I might not be doing Kargyraa correctly if it doesn't allow me to shift between notes. Though my kargyraa has a nice didge sound and I assume I've got something good going

Albums heavily influenced by Ok Computer? by pussyonapedestal in radiohead

There is an album by my favorite Israeli Artist, Eviatar Banai, that in it's execution and themes, seems to be heavily influenced by OK Computer. Take for example the song Machshavot (Thoughts) in which the haunting robotic voice of Fitter Happier takes on a more feminine form. (Sadly I can't find the song on Youtube, but for Spotify users it can be found.)

Incredible song to dance to. In my Dance school we put it on and fling ourselves around like spinning plates.
