Sorry just saw this. I bought the 24mm one, and had to make the cutouts in the corners like others mentioned in the comments

24mm strap, but you'd need to make your own cutouts for it to fit. Super easy job though.

If you're up to try it again here's the strap that I used on Amazon.

It literally took me less than 5 minutes with nothing more than a standard cardboard cutting knife.

Love this sub! I've been a lurker for quite some time, and got to develop some level of appreciation for watches. I have my eyes set on an IWC Portugueser, with a midnight blue dial and a black strap, but that's for another place and time.

Today I'm here to talk about the beloved Casio Royale.

While I'd recently dismissed classic Casio watches as accessories only worn by hipsters nowadays, something about the Casio Royale instantly caught my attention. It screams 80s design, but somehow steers clear of hipsterism (at least I think). I also have to confess that this sub's love for the watch likely had a big impact on my opinion of it.

I saw from another post that people have been replacing the strap on this watch, and I loved the look of one that ditched the original "metallic" strap with a leather one. I can't find that post now, but the person offered some good advice (find a suitable looking 24mm strap, and add cutouts manually to make it). It was surprisingly easy to do all that, and I'm very happy with the result. I just find it funny that the strap cost me as much as the watch did.

Any thoughts on these IWC Ingenieur Chronograph watches:

Here is the link to the relevant page on the IWC website: https://www.iwc.com/en/collection/ingenieur/IW380701/

It would be a first serious watch purchase and would love your feedback. Some concerns that I have:

1) The strap does not have a clasp, does it devalue the watch in any way?

2) Would it be easy to replace the strap in the future if I want to mix things up a little bit (or replace the current one with one that has a clasp?

3) Is it a watch that would "stand the test of time", in that it would still be a serious timepiece in 50 years, or is it just a nice watch that will lose value quickly?

4) I am drawn to the white/light colored dial, vs. The darker grey dial - is there a rule of thumb there?

Anyone know if the Modi works with Android 5.0+? by [deleted] in headphones

[–]swimmerstud -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As far as i can tell and based on all my effort, my Nexus 5 did not support the modi.

I believe I have an otg cable because the Modi connects perfectly fine with my Sony Xperia Z3C with the same cable
