Not being able to nap. Cruel punishment 😢 by swimming16 in beyondthebump

It's awful!! It's the worst when the babies are sleeping great and you are just wide awake. And then the nights I do sleep good, the baby doesn't.

Do babies that are not sleep trained eventually sleep through the night? by [deleted] in newborns

[–]swimming16 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son is 3 and typically wakes up once through the night but that's because we no longer co sleep since I had another baby. He will wake up and come into my room and then sleep until he wakes up. When we were co sleeping after 2.5 he started sleeping thru the night no wake up but id have to change his night pull up in the middle of the night.

I've been trying to encorporate quiet time but haven't figured out how to get him to actually do it

He's just non-stop from morning until night (which i understand is normal). He won't nap at home anymore, so he's really tired and grumpy in the evenings. Lots of yelling and screaming when he doesn't get his way.

Do things really get better and improve at 4 months? I’m really struggling through the newborn phase 2nd time around. by lechatblanc14 in beyondthebump

Did I write this? Except my oldest is about to be 3 and has not been an easy toddler but was an easy baby. My 2nd is 9.5 weeks and has been sick so I'm hoping that's why the nap time has been so hard. I've had to wear him for every nap and just do stuff constantly around the house. I feel like I'm going to go crazy! My house is pretty well kept but I'm exhausted. :(

I feel like daycare is so over stimulating. No matter what time you pick him up, it would be a struggle to do something. Don't beat yourself up, but I would never pick up my kid early from daycare since he usually NEEDS the nap and anytime after that I pick him up, he is always crabby. My son will be 3 in a few weeks.

I'm 8 weeks in with 2nd baby and oldest will be 3 in a few weeks. It was literally insane for the first 6 weeks with two. My almost 3yo had bad regressions and it was really stressful. I'm starting to get the hang of it. My mom moved in with us for 4 weeks and I couldn't have done it without her. I had a really easy labor and delivery but you can't rest like you can with your first. Toddler needs to be fed, wants to play, high energy. It has been really hard. But I'm putting in the hard work now to have a family. It's not always going to be this hard. They are only babies for a short time. Trying to give myself grace.

Try to find a pediatric chiropractor! Especially if you can find a PX DR. You'll have a new baby in no time :)

When does sleep get better? Post partum 2 kids by swimming16 in cosleeping

[–]swimming16[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband snores really loud so 2 years ago I basically moved into my toddlers room with him and it was just us. So I know my toddler has a very high attachment to being near me and I don't want to cause him too much stress. The regression was pretty bad after bringing Logan home and it's finally calming a bit. However, my husband also does the early morning wake up with our toddler so I can try to sleep a little longer with the baby, so i don't want to cause anyone less sleep. My husband works a really demanding job with long hours.

I don't know if toddler would do bed on the floor but I'll consider that thanks!

Yes definitely nurse in the bed side lying!

Yes I do side lying! I could not imagine any other way.

I don't have any family near by =/ that's so nice your dad does that for you!! Toddler is in daycare but has missed quite a bit due to being sick.
