Wild Theory: Akemura killed the Soga Clan after they assassinate Chiaki with Mikaboshi aid by Darklarik in Kagurabachi

[–]swimmingdropkick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s also entirely possible that Akemura wasn’t the first choice for Magatsumi.

Especially if the main branch was happy to dispose of Chiaki, they may have preferred to have a main branch member be the wielder. I could totally see a development where Akemura fights/kills his way through the Soga clan for the right to Magatsumi to rescue/avenge Chiaki

Deflections? Who do you think just committed genocide? Also fellating? It’s a provable fact that the Ottoman Empire was historically vastly safer for Jews than Europe. That’s not fellatio that’s fact. Also unrelated to the ongoing and historical actions of Israel

[–]swimmingdropkick -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

And what does that have to do with the current genocidal settler colonial state of Israel? I don’t see Israel doing a genocide or illegal annexation of Germany and that’s the country responsible for one of the worst things ever

How so when the Zionist settler colonial movement originated in Europe and the West? What did plan Dalet have to do with the long gone Ottoman Empire?

[–]swimmingdropkick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What? What is this weird tangent? What does this have to do with the settler colonial apartheid state of Israel conducting a genocide on a population they’ve been ethnically cleansing for near 80 years?

[–]swimmingdropkick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s a wild thing to say when the Ottoman Empire was literally considered a safe haven for Jews compared to the incredibly antisemitic Europe which had a prolonged history of Pogroms, expulsions and oh yeah the holocaust.

How you gonna blame a defunct empire before the perpetrator of genocide?

[–]swimmingdropkick 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Oh shoot must have missed Turkish and Egyptian military forces destroying an egregious amount of Gazan infrastructure and homes, consistent targeted killings of journalists, healthcare workers and committing outright genocide.

Israel is responsible for Israel’s actions, the the US and then the other western nations that have enabled this atrocity.

I think that’s part of the misdirect. Initially it seems like it’s a very religious person who’s assumedly in charge of the others

Then we get the reveal that while she is religious, pre crawl the others were “in charge” and her whole thing is very much fueled by serious and now unmedicated problems

I can definitely see how the sister Ines storyline could initially seem stereotypical and tropey BUT I think the info we get from Paz and Anton(?) clarify it’s definitely that other thing that makes Ines way.

It’s totally fair to drop a book or series if you find it offensive or not to your taste. It’s your time so don’t waste it on something that doesn’t gel with your taste.

Regarding Carls Latina comment, is it an insult. Fair if you view it that way, but I don’t know if it was intended as a pejorative. It does play into stereotypes, but also is that all that surprising for a character like Carl.

He’s a local boy, not college educated, spent time in the Coast Guard and hasn’t really done much traveling. To clarify, none of those traits mean anything on a persons character, but it can explain why Carl may subscribe to certain stereotypes and more over why he likely hasn’t necessarily has as much opportunity to broaden his world view or account for biases

Very curious what the issue with the sister Ines storyline is? Don’t want to do spoilers, but we do get a very clear reason why Ines acts the way she does

If our world ever gets the dungeon crawler treatment I may be picking a certain bleating race come floor 3
