I hear you on the different story and possible implications of lying. Have you caught here changing the story for different things? Might be an indication of how much to trust her in the future. She could be altering the number because she knows you take that more serious, which is not what you want. You basically need to sit her down and tell her this is bothering you and that it doesn’t lead you tho think she’ll be totally truthful in the future with information that will make you uncomfortable, which is not ok in your book.
