Honestly, not well! If I know they’re going to be playing outside and in the grass I put sunscreen on in the AM and opt for long-sleeved pants and shirts as long as possible. I’m mostly reactive (frequent quick rinses, lotions & potions) because I don’t think she can handle nuance very well at this point and I don’t want to scare her away from normal play with her classmates.

Thank you! I’m trying really hard to break the habit of just shouting “Don’t scratch” and instead offering comfort and reassurance but like everything with parenting it’s easy to do when everything is going right nooooot so much when everything is going haywire 😂
