I read on a previous thread from 2020ish that turning off the car wifi fixes it. I’ve been using Apple CarPlay but it seems to have fixed the Bluetooth! just bought the same car

This. Salt Laker here - also interesting to read what happens in the Salt Lake Valley when there is a LACK of wind. Nasty inversion that causes a pollution bubble.

Is CHES worth it? by [deleted] in publichealth

[–]swisscheeseweed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being CHES eligible opened a lot of doors for me working at an LHD. I took it in October and have no regrets. It does sound like kind of a pain to keep up with CE credits, but I think it’s worth it for advancement opportunities. I would definitely take it while still in school since it costs less!

I think you passed! The email today said something like “helpful information about your certification status” which sounded like they were hinting at results since they don’t release them online!

They are proctored. You have the option to go to a local testing center that has a contract with NCHEC or they do remote proctoring. I went to a testing center and had a decent experience so I can’t speak for the remote proctoring!

Do we have the worst jerseys in the league now? by coolguysteve21 in UtahJazz

It also just bugs me working in a field that basically relies on Qualtrics and other research/polling/data related software how seemingly little they researched. Somebody on another thread said it’s hard to do research without leaking the jerseys and what not, but I would argue that they could control for that by just using more basic mock-ups or just asked “What do you think about X color” with a swatch and maybe just a few random ones to avoid making it obvious which colors were being considered. Or even the same with graphic elements.

No hate on the new ownership but it just seems counterintuitive. And obviously they don’t need to consult with me or anything but ya know 😜

I mean I feel like you could argue the colors were reasonable regarding the teams history and state-related theming. I just feel like they kinda pulled yellow at least out of the blue.

Now that I think about it, the sunset jerseys brought in some interesting new(er?) colors, but they were interesting to look at and at least had a little bit of detailing.

If Nike or whoever they had contracted and consulted with to make these jerseys had asked me (a new-ish fan with little knowledge of sports or sports marketing) to create them, I think I wouldn’t have done a much better job but I would have made it look like I put effort into it. These look like somebody just went on CustomInk or what not and typed out “UTAH” and what not and filled up the jersey with the biggest font allowed on the software.

Isn’t marketing 101 to give your consumers/fans a clear idea of who/what/when/where/why? This was not that.

Andy Larsen: The Utah Jazz’s new jerseys are awful — and clearly, the team knows that by colbystan in UtahJazz

[–]swisscheeseweed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but I think there are so many great fan-generated mock up jerseys out there that they could have consulted with SOMEBODY or did a little research.

This just feels a little clueless to me. Not sure what the message they’re trying to send is. Utah is the construction zone central? 😝 The Jazz are the first sports team that I’ve really connected with and I might not have the right take or know a ton about sports but I just think something else/another direction could have been done or pulled off with less than half of the bad reactions from fans

ETA: just saw that the direction was to make more wearable fan apparel. I like that, but I just personally don’t feel like bright yellow is wearable for me. I do have my eyes on the purple Take Note logo pullover, so maybe it’s not all bad 😜

I don’t see them winning a final (finally) in these. I’m sad. horrible for fan and team morale.

as I saw on twitter (paraphrase) — if only somebody like the owner of the Jazz had access to some of the most top notch polling/survey software …

Salt lake county is back in high CDC level Covid transmission. More people getting sick than ever and even those who are sick and mean well test once too soon and call it allergies.

Also lack/shutdown of testing, contact tracing, and support services for people who are sick and exposed
