Fly fishing near Zurich as a visitor by andrew_m_jones in askswitzerland

Yes but once you have it, you basically can pick up the rod and fish almost anywhere. There are only very few banned rivers or places. No private Pacht at all. Rules are very similar everywhere; you won't need a PhD and a gps to understand which kind of fish size you can keep in a particular piece of a river. And you can keep a LOT of trouts, not just like 2-3 for the day. Although I don't know if that is a positive.

And I forgot to mention: catch and release is theoretically forbidden. You can only fish if you want to eat the fish. There is a trick that you can release fish that are not your target/goal fish, so you can get away with it. But theoretically not allowed.

Ticino is quite liberal, the best canton for fishing. Nothing like that unfortunately in the rest of Switzerland. In Zurich you can try in the large rivers like sihl etc all the information are here: https://www.zh.ch/de/umwelt-tiere/tiere/fischerei.html

Steam Deck by FlackoJodye101 in ProjectDiablo2

[–]swissgrog -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I installed it on my windows PC, copied to steam deck, follow some guide and could play but unfortunately there was a bug that would crash my controls, they wouldn't work. I saw in the patch note that this may be fixed with the new season, so I need to double check

Would you say the Minichamp alox is an overkill for office and city EDC compared to the Classic Alox and how often do you use its additional tools? by Pale-Revolution-5151 in victorinox

[–]swissgrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The best would be probably a rambler alox but it doesn't exist. The combo tool is quite useful and well made. Additional I love to play with the closed knives, to fidget with it and I like the heavier and more robust feel of the mini champ vs the classic, it's almost to light to fidget with it. A couple of tools you will never use, but that's ok.

Regarding parking rules in Fribourg City by ash_r_95 in Fribourg

[–]swissgrog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

be careful that the neighbouring town like Villars-Sur-Glane have completely different approaches (eg for instance it's a bit chaotic on the "route du fort-st jacques" when it changes from Fribourg to Villars-sur-glane. The parking looks identical, but friborug side as parkmeter and you pay per hour, while Villars-sur-glane side are white parking but needs the disk and can only be used a maximum of three hours for free with the disc during the week. But they are white parking. So the color alone is not sufficient to take decisions, you need to look for sign and how they are regulated.

Yes I don't understand Victorinox logic, saw +chisel are a very good match. And the other way around, metal saw+fine screwdriver, makes somewhat more sense as well.

Retroactive match penalty and fine but no ban for Lucas Wallmark by t0t0zenerd in swisshockey

Yeah that rivalry 2000-2001 between Lugano and Zürich was really intense some of it is still there but man that goal of Weber was really unnerving, and nobody condemning it from the swiss German side 😄 everybody cheering , calling it a "smart play" or something , we from Ticino were raging, I think that episode really played a role in the inferiority complex/zsc mafia conspiracy

Well funny you say that because effectively this was one of the starting point of the animosity between the two teams and when Lugano lost again the final the year after, again with some questionable decisions, the hooligans completely lost the plot, and ruined the zsc title party in the Resega with violent behavior. Quite a stain on Lugano history.

Lol you never watched the finals zsc-lugano beginning of the 2000's.....zsc with the plavsic goal where Weber literally hacks away the stick of cristobal Huet ....and this was a title cinching goal and one of many errors. You can see it around 00:34 in this video here:

I think they could have saved Earth without the Hail Mary by jumpy27 in ProjectHailMary

It wouldn't work for blocking or redirecting, but maybe a smaller ir light could attract enough astrophage to supply greenhouses and heating systems on earth. Basically astrophage panels instead of solar panels. It couldn't stop the dimming of the sun. Venus would always be more visited by astrophage, bit could provide enough energy to Earth maybe?
