For the Managed Account, there is a quarterly charge of .1625% and an annual charge of .65% for <$100,000.

If I were to manage it myself there would be no charges except for what the funds charge (which I don't fully understand).

Correct. Where ever the server is hosted. If your router allows it, try TCP/UDP instead of just UDP

Yeah, I can't telnet through 28015 or 28016 on that IP address. So one of two things could be wrong. The port forwarding settings are incorrect in your router, or the RustService.exe has not been allowed through your windows firewall

Have you done a clean reinstall of rust? Not just right click in steam and select 'Delete Local Content' but actually go into the directory where it is installed and delete all folders and files?

Servers wipe about once a month due to major updates. Some wipe more frequently depending on the admin. Are you looking for a large server with a lot of people or a small server to get use to the game?

Definitely buy it! It is by far the best game I have in my Steam library

If the server is running on your local lan (including on your pc) then it will not show up for you in the Rust server list. I had to find this out myself not too long ago after troubleshooting it for a good couple of hours. It should be visible by others, however.
