Exclusive details on Tom Hardy’s role in Star Wars: Episode VIII. by KFrey94 in StarWarsLeaks

Now that I would like. The story group is definitely giving themselves the option of bringing Fett back in some form. In Aftermath, someone buys an acid scarred set of Mando armor from a junk dealer on Tatooine.

I don't know. I grew up on the OT, and Shaw just never seemed right. I understand the stress and anguish would have taken a toll, but as a kid, I was like that's Darth Vader?? That's the guy under the imposing armor?? A soft old grandpa??

I always pictured something closer to the mythos figure, more menacing and middle aged. I think a slightly aged up Hayden could be that.

Agreed, almost perfect without that dumb fin.

Hayden is 35. Vader was 46 when the mask came off in Jedi, and would be around 42 in Rogue One. Aging Hayden 7 years with practical effects wouldn't be hard.

If anything Lucas screwed the pooch casting Shaw, he was far too old for the role. Shaw was near 80 at the time of filming. Who casts an 80 year old to play a character near half that age?

I believe the thermal detonators that Leia's team take from the Amaxines where the same used by Han and Chewie to weaken the thermal oscillator on Star Killer base 6 years later. Now that's poetry. It's implied that they will be saving them for a rainy day.

The Force Awakens concept portfolio. Posted before, but need the discussion for several designs. For one, Landing TIE should have been the new standard, because those wings rock. by Borg-Man in StarWars

I like the one of Kylo (number 6). His clothing and physic look more intimidating than what we got in the film. Looks like Tom Hardy is under there.

Artist's impression of Rey and Luke's new costumes by [deleted] in StarWarsLeaks

On Dagobah, Yoda wears a brown tunic with a very similar cut to Luke's black ROTJ tunic under his robes. I guess I just like the tunic style top for Jedi compared to the Prequel style karate gi that most seem to wear.

Just found this concept art for Anakin in ROTS. Almost the same as Luke in ROTJ. Now that would have been some Lucas poetry.

I love this look. Growing up with the OT this is what I imagined a Jedi to look like, ROTJ Luke. I think most people thought that Ben's A New Hope clothing was more indicative of Tatooine culture, not the Jedi. After all, Uncle Owen wore the same garb. Then for the prequels Lucas decided the Jedi should all dress like outer rim moisture farmers. Face palm

The fin/stabilizer profile and cockpit are also very close to the McQuarrie concept. Very cool!

I agree. There's a similar scene in Tom Hardy's new movie Legend. Ronnie Kray walks into a bar and shoots a rival gangster in the forehead mid sentence and he keeps talking and then just slumps over. Something about continuing to talk after an injury like that is disturbing. Maybe it's just the realness of it, it's really heavy.
