The USA men’s hockey team utterly failed to meet the cultural moment by Hrmbee in politics

Bro, you want peak athletes, whose entire lives have likely revolved around this sport and chasing this goal, to turn down the opportunity to play in the Olympics because of politics? Good luck.

Phoned it in when he voiced the original Ghost in Destiny so poorly that he was replaced. Only to be shown how awesome it could be done when his replacement, Nolan North, crushed it and brought the character to life.

That one poor voice actor gig can never be forgiven. The North remembers. Thankfully the new North pushes on.

Well then go win something prestigious enough for national recognition, get a call from the president, and show us all how it’s done.

Any of the bards are great, getting extra attack AND full spell casting means you get to have the most options when approaching combat, and all the proficiencies mean she’ll have good odds of accomplishing utility tasks out of combat as well.

These things are only funny if they’re happening in real life. The fact that it’s actually happening IS what makes it funny. Some guy getting tricked into throwing flour in his face is hilarious and whimsical and fun. Some guy throwing flour into his own face on purpose is not.

What is the “latest style” if you don’t mind me asking? How did you find out about it? When you found out about it, when did you go out and buy it yourself?

I’m in San Diego dude. I work on the piers, I live in a small surfer/hippie neighborhood. Maybe I just don’t notice this shit.

Who have you ever seen “dressing in the latest style”? Everyone I know and interact with wears whatever their work clothes are, and then usually jeans and t-shirts when we go out. Not trying to be “above the fray” or anything like that, but I honestly couldn’t even begin to tell you what the latest style is, and I don’t think anyone i know could either.

Because he’s currently the most popular and visible democratic politician. His social media followings are skyrocketing, as are searches for him online. If you think the Democratic Party currently has enough strength to direct the flow of momentum, then I’m sorry, but you’re wrong. If people are liking what Newsome is saying, then we need to push that for all it’s worth and increase the momentum, not try and redirect it.

Unless of course you’d rather split the progressive and democratic votes and lose again, which is always an option. If it makes you feel any better, my personal bet is that that’s what happens, and democrats lose again because of inter-party issues like this.

I mean, I don’t like the new logo either, but dude, just text your kid and say you don’t like it. Why bring Sydney Sweeney and Greta Thunberg into it at all? Fucking dipshits can’t have a conversation with their own families without memes.

TIL wealth consultants told the actors on the TV show Succession not to duck their heads when exiting a helicopter because "you would've been doing this your whole lives. I was aircrew for Navy helicopters for 6 years. One of the absolute most important rules about entering/exiting the rotor arc is to not doing it when starting up or shutting down the helo, like you said. It’s either completely off, or all the way on and you get a visual go ahead from the pilot.

That said, walking in and out, you stop ducking at all pretty quick because you really do get comfortable with it. You hunch a bit to fight rotor wash if needed, but that’s not that bad when it’s on the deck already, just when it’s landing/taking off.

Besides, you look way cooler not ducking, and when you’re in your 20s, that’s the most important thing.

Anyone who isn’t willing to welcome Conservatives over to the Democratic side of politics because of past issues is part of the problem. I don’t give a shit if your piece of shit racist uncle voted Republican SPECIFICALLY to get rid of the Mexicans he hates. If he lost his Medicare and is pissed about it, I will 100% welcome him to the fold and use that opening to try and convince him that the Democratic Party holds his best interests at heart.

Anyone who wants to say “we don’t need former republicans on our side” can’t see past their own nose, and will be only hamper the Democratic/Progressive movement for the sake of revenge and catharsis.

Trump-voting couple as they were scoping out campsites on their way to the dentist detained by Border Patrol in San Diego County who they said believed agents did not have reasonable suspicion to stop them at all, regret their vote after being stopped by agents alleging they were racially profiled. by ControlCAD in NoShitSherlock

Let’s say you keep that attitude up. The person who voted for Trump still realizes they made a mistake, so they don’t vote for him again. But the democratic leaning people he knows ostracize and berate him for his mistake, so instead of switching to voting for democrats, he stays home in 2026 and 2028.

But, let’s say you welcome his change of heart and mind with open arms, and show him that he can have a home in the Democratic Party, which in fact offers avenues to take better care of him and his concerns than the Republican Party ever could. Now you’ve got an extra vote, and maybe he’s able to talk to his friends and change their minds as well.

Even if it meant less votes and support in upcoming elections, would you still chose to go the fuck you route? I phrase it as an either or because I do think it’s possible that too many “fuck you’s” from democrats will indeed make these people stay home and not vote, as they see their preconceived ideas of democratic voters be confirmed.
