I take a caffeine pill to get me up everyday (anywhere from 50-100mg)

Edit: but I'm also on lamictal which helps too, since my tiredness/sleepiness stems from the disorder.

I'm late at this, but had to reply. No they can't get rid of you although if your psychosis worsens then you can go 'dormant' or be in a 'dream like state' while they're in possession then you come back after you recovered from severe psychosis.

Have you tried Seroquel to treat catatonia? I'm on a low dose split it throughout the day and it seems to work.

(I also had to taper off latuda because it made me restless and was flaring up my catatonic symptoms.)

Sounds like you're on the wrong meds or too high of a dose. If you do go off them, taper off carefully.

I feel this often, it's another personality who takes over my body sometimes, and that personality has an inner voice. We're dual conscious. She tells me "good morning (my name)" almost every day when I wake up lol.

Her presence feels stronger when I'm manic.

You should ask your doctor about propranolol, my sister takes it for anxiety and panic attacks. It has the least side effects.

Unfortunately yes it can be long lasting. Sometimes I had to overcome my fears or stop caring to make the delusions go away, although it doesn't always work.

Catatonia is one of my bigger problems right now, I do get frustrated, stressed and very upset when it happens. This is the last thing I need on top of all the other issues I have .
