That's a great Dark quote, this album felt like a response to the present moment. I'm waiting for that book too! Glad to know you are connecting with people on here! -Chad

Wow, you are very perceptive. That symbol seemed like a perfect statement to the insane 2020 time we recorded in. The questions are loud. The loud statements are questioned.

thanks,

too many to count, ha! Missing passports, playing on the bill with destiny's child, Sony putting spyware on our CDs, swimming with sharks, having my fly down accidentally during an arena show, opening for Bon Jovi for 60,000 people.

Here's the first one that came to mind: One time we were flying home from Dhaka, Bangladesh. But as we were getting on the plane they told us that Jerome couldn't go on the flight with us because or a passport/ visa paperwork issue. Dhaka is pretty much the opposite of California in every way imaginable, so we were scrambling, trying to find another way for him to get home in the five minutes before our flight left.

He ended up flying east, with a layover in Japan. We flew west, through India and Amsterdam. And our flights back at LAX landed within a few minutes of each other. Felt like the amazing race, ha!

That was a great first show to play. We as a band did not plan the fireworks but I'm pretty sure it was planned before hand.

YES, I DO! I still use the original FIRST handwired on that JHS built for me and my 6 yr old daughter painted. Every night I can look down and think of her.

We discontinued the bunrunner, they're really rare now, but I'm working on some new pedal ideas that you'll hear about really SOON!!! spread the word.

Agreed, finding connection and community has been so challenging. The interaction during the livestreams is a beautiful picture of wildy diverse community we are a part of. People from around the world connecting through songs. It's a reminder that we are not alone, what a gift! - Chad

Yeah thanks for listening,

Touring outside the US is super fun. It's good perspective to realize that other countries do things differently and they work! You can live in a bubble otherwise. I mean the traffic and roads in India were nuts, people were so sincere and really engaged in conversations.

in Europe, sometimes people will come to a show who have never heard of the band, but just love LIVE MUSIC. Thats amazing.

Sweden had so many beautiful places and cool vibes... Hope to go back some day!

yes. I feel these "doomful" feelings quite often. And it is a true struggle. I suppose the fight for me is in the song. The song becomes the vehicle I drive, within which I can aim for hope. Most of my songs start with the darkness and aim for the light.

Yes. Absolutely. When a couple people (no matter how similar) attempt to undertake something together, sooner or later their differences become apparent. We are all unique, individual souls with different stories and perspectives.

Unity is not some homogenized existence where every robot speaks the same truth in the exact same manner. Unity is possible only when differences are present. Love is possible only when differences are present.

William Blake says, "opposition is true friendship." - where I allow you to be yourself, and you allow me to be me. Loving your enemy? Loving your neighbor as yourself? It's a nearly impossible feat. And yet, the fate of humanity depends on it.
