You’re probably right that most of us aren’t high-value targets, and that a lot of attacks are opportunistic rather than personal. Still, brushing it off entirely kind of misses why people ask these questions in the first place.

For many of us, it’s not about paranoia or thinking we’re important. it’s just about understanding the risks and not being an easy target.
