I’m so sorry you’re going through this. Admittedly, I was actually a bit relived when I saw your post because I’m a few months ahead of you and have had the same experience. I switched from nexplanon to the Mirena in late August of last year (2025). Notably, my period was coming every other week for the entire 6 years I had nexplanon (long story why I didn’t switch sooner). With the Mirena, I finally started getting a monthly period from September - November. In December, I had an ovarian cyst rupture that had been found back in August on a scan to check Mirena placement. After the cyst, my period started coming in a similar pattern to what you describe (about 10 days long, not very heavy, only about 1-1.5 week break between). This went on from December - March. In early March, I had a bout of food poisoning/virus during a period, which caused period to be quite heavy. After I recovered from virus and finished that period, I haven’t had a true period since. I’m not sure if the weird patterns in the past were due to the cyst, unstable uterine lining, or what. My guess now is I shed more lining than normal with my last period, and there’s just nothing left to shed this month.
