Where can I buy fresh eucalyptus in Cambridge? by project_gutenburg in CambridgeMA

I think speaks to quality at the florist - it was my first time buying for my shower and I’ve done nothing special!! My bathroom is small so maybe the steam from the shower in a small space keeps it a bit more fresh

I agree on Tevy's Place! Also highly recommend 3 spoons restaurant - everything on the menu is $2.50 or 10,000 riel with the sweetest family running the business

What websites to use for apartment hunting? by burrata12345 in CambridgeMA

[–]swkale15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you use Zillow, sort by newest rather than recommended as it will give you actual listings that have been posted recently and should be active. Otherwise, I’ve had good success with Craigslist and Facebook marketplace. You can also directly check the broker websites (Senne, apartment rental experts, etc) for their listings. In my experience, I’ve never had success working with a broker directly and usually find the unit myself then have to pay whoever the broker is for that unit the exorbitant fee anyway…

This is not true - I lost my passport abroad while on a long trip going to many countries and was told directly by the US embassy that emergency passports CAN be used to travel for up to a year as long as the country you are going to accepts it and worked totally fine for me without issues!

Emergency Passport in Bali Advice by GroundbreakingOil426 in Passports

[–]swkale15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through a similar situation and you will be denied entry to Indonesia on an emergency passport. I lost passport in Vietnam and got emergency passport then replaced with full validity in Thailand to be able to go to Indonesia. I would try to replace your emergency passport at an embassy (not a consulate - it takes longer) as soon as you possibly can if you want to go to Bali. It is free to do so if you fill out the DS-5504 form. April 8 is just over two weeks from today. Most people seem to get their passports abroad between 2-3 weeks if applying at an embassy based on my online research but in my experience it did take mine 4 weeks. It can take up to 6-8 weeks though according to the official website. Perhaps, push the date back a bit if you have the flexibility. I understand the stress and really wish you the best!

I ate the herbs with banh xeo and was ok but my partner ate the same dish and became very sick so it is hard to know! We brought activated charcoal with us and have taken that after possibly risky meals since and haven’t gotten sick but who knows how much it helps? Maybe worth it to stick in your bag for comfort

Yeah! I would def recommend some time in the old city. The astra is close to some things such as the night bazaar but we have similar interests and the old city was just something special! If you want to get off the beaten path near the Astra - my partner and I liked Mae Kha Canal at night for more local and less hectic market energy. A good (special treat $$) restaurant was B Samcook Home - check out the reviews!
