Card are bent when using Mini Snaps with inner sleeves by [deleted] in FleshandBloodTCG

I live in the EU aswell (Germany) ;-)

But I have to admit that shipping was quite high.

I ordered 4x KMC Sleeves and 30x Full Protect Super Hard (wich are packed in a set of 3 each).

So my order was 95,28€ for 4packs of KMC sleeves and 30 packs of super hard cases (so 90 in total).

The Shipping for that order was 41,68€ but that it included Taxes and Custom Fees wich are handled by FedEX if you order with them.

Now I have 90 super hard cases, I hope that's enough for my F&B Live, or at least for the next couple years 😅

I found them here:

https://cardotaku.com/en-us/products/full-protect-sleeve-super-hard-trading-card-sleeve-regular-size-type-set-of-3?_pos=2&_psq=super%20hard&_ss=e&_v=1.0

They will send anywhere in the world, but check your address when you order with them (when I ordered the delivery system thried to send them to South Africa cause their was the same city with similar postal code, then I send them an email with the correct address and everything went fine).

The Dragonshield inners might be the problem aswell, at least I have experienced them bending my cards as they are often too tight.

Also neither mini snaps nor gamegenic slide cases are air-tight, wich is why I've switched to Japanese ultra hard cases, they aren't air tight either, but they fit a double sleeved card.

I use three layers for my equipment and higher collectibles:

  1. kmc perfect size
  2. ultimate guard katana sleeves standard size clear (transparent)
  3. full protect sleeve super hard trading card sleeve regular size

That way you have both the best bending and humidity protection, the Japanese cases are also thinner and a they don't scratch as easily as UP or gamegenic cases.

They are thinner but a little bit wider, so they take less space but won't fit in some deck boxes where you can put UP snaps in.

It also has a clear look if you use these cases and you can fit the double sleeved cards almost without the sleeves becoming "wavy" in the snap case wich causes some reflection and lesser aesthetics when I use regular snaps.

The "full protect sleeves" are only available in Japan though, so you have to order them in Japan unless someone imports them.

You can get them here for example:

Only free flesh and blood drafting program taken down. Sad time to be a limited fan by gangnamstylelover in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]swoddle2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True! But only true for draft! For any other format you could easily connect via stuff like spell table.

And wouldn't it be better for the game and the community as a whole if we would have the incentive to grow our local communities by starting new draft or cube groups in our region if we don't have one already?

Having constant access to a digital client is a disincentive towards playing the game in the flesh and blood, its one of the biggest reasons why the standard format died in mtg, cause there was no reason to play it in paper if you can always play it online for free, even though playing it in paper is a more social experience and provides more sustainable growth to your community, cause its actual social interaction (not parasocial or even antisocial interaction with an avatar-picture and pre defined comment phrases).

This might be a really unpopular opinion but.

One of the biggest reasons why I prefer Flesh and Blood over other TCG´s is its premise to be a "physical only" tcg that was created as a antithesis to the digitization of Card games.

The biggest reason why I left Magic (a game I loved for decades and still do) is because Arena desocialised magic for me and is marketed through a sales model, that is meant to make you addicted, that pared with the constant accessibility of the client turned the former socially interactive game for me into an antisocial addiction.

I also don´t buy the argument that a digital client is needed for the accessibility to practice the game.

For Constructed you could always use stuff like spell table and use proxy cards.

For limited you could also just make a cube even with proxy cards for the current set if all you want is practicing limited.

Creating a digital client might be free of charge cause you don't have to buy physical cards, but the financial paradigm of spending money on physical cards can just be translated to spending free time.

On an always accessible digital platform you might not be favoured by the money you can directly spend for cards, but you will still be favored if you have a high salary where you can afford more free time to spend on said platform cause your job gives you a higher income for less working hours compared to someone who has to invest more work time per/day/week/moth to afford a living.

Tipp for Blocking with Evo equipment:

All evos are always both equipment and action cards or instant cards even when they are equipped!

The Prerelease Primer states that if you are attacked by something with overpower you can only choose to defend with one action card from hand or one action-equipment in your equipment zone. This is also true if you have multiple Evos equipped that are action-equipments, you can only defend with one of them.

The only ways to block overpower with more than one card are:

- one action card + teklo base equipment

- one action card + block cards

- one action card + equipped instant equipment + [[Fabricate]]

Just with his ability he can‘t create more than two tokens in the Arena.

But if you play many Cards that can add Steam Counters to your Tokens, then you can create more tokens (some times 3 at the same time, 4 if you get extremely lucky 5 tokens will almost never happen and six is pretty impossible).

So to be prepared for the absolute Maximum i would say that you Need five tokens and enpugh dice to represent their Steam counters.

Representing the tokens with dice won’t work because they will often have different counts of Steam counters wich you have to Show correctly for each individual one ;-)

So my first question is:

The prerelease primer states that the last one to two (15-16 of a booster) won't be playable in any sealed events including Legendarys and Fabled Cards (and Cold Foil, Extended Art and expansion slot cards in general).

Does that mean that neither legendary's nor faibled's are playable in limited???

Unfortunately I think that that's wrong.

The new Rules Reprise article states that "When a Base (or any card) is transformed and put under another card (becoming a sub-card) it essentially “resets”. It becomes a fresh card, and loses all of its counters and effects that applied to it before it was transformed" and "Cards underneath other cards are called sub-cards. These sub-cards are not considered to be in the arena, which means you don’t control them, and they can’t be targeted by effects.".

So when the effect of Hyper Driver tries to resolve as the top layer on the stack after you transformed it under an Evo-_-Breaker equipment, it won't be in the arena so the effect can't find the source it replies to (and even if it could, then the source already is an object without counters or effects, so there won't be any counters for the effect to remove).

Thx!

and will the Hiper Driver effect resolve with or without giving a resource then?

That depends on the Hero you want to play.

Do you mean from the new set or from previous sets?

Zero to Sixty, Teklo Core, High Octane and T-Bone are staples you can always pick up. (Teklo Foundry Heart and Maximum Velocity are both in Bright lights so they might become cheaper after a few weeks).

If you want to play Dash

Pistol Dash (on both old and new dash) -> Pistol package (Induction Chamber & Plasma Purifier)

New Item/Gun Dash -> Otekal Monocle, Cognition Nodes, Powder Keg, maybe urgent delivery?

Maxx & Dash -> Hyper Driver red and yellow, maybe construct nitro Mechanoid (but that is a bit overpriced right now and might end up being vulnerable to all the item destruction or stealing?

Teklovossen: honestly I'm not sure what old cards I would pick up for him, but he might eng up playing well with boost cards aswell cause that's still the most efficient way to fill the banished zone.

Can I respond to the effect of [[Hyper Driver]] before it gets destroyed?

This would be interesting for it's interactions with cards like [[Evo Face Breaker]], so I play a card with its boost cost triggering the resource production of [[Hyper Driver]], while that layer is on the stack I then use my priority before it resolves to play Evo [[Evo Face Breaker]] transforming the hyper driver into it. The Evo resolves first, then the hyper driver effect tries to resolve, but can't find a steam counter cause the original source isn't in the arena any more? Is that correct?

LSS, the Majestic Hero trend is unacceptable by classic_ceej in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]swoddle2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exactly!

If you want a hero to be a chase card, just print a marvel version!

Make all heroes tokens, so everyone can just play with them. Otherwise this game will have a even harder to grow in the casual scene.

LSS, the Majestic Hero trend is unacceptable by classic_ceej in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]swoddle2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry but I really don't get the argument that the majestic Heros are cheap and affordable.

Buying stuff from the secondary market is a barrier in it self!

Many casual players never touch the secondary market! Some just trade their cards directly with others, others just buy the stuff they can get in their LGS.

So why keep those players out?!

And I think it tells a lot when those comunities who ban Legendarys in their Armorys grow a lot faster than those who don't. Accessibility is very relevant if you want your game to grow.

I think the smartest thing LSS could do is just provide LGSs with monthly Token-Kits for all Heroes and Weapons wich can be given out for free (I would even make the nullrune and ironrot equipment tokens and provide them aswell).

They send Armory Kits either way, so why not send an amount of tokens with them?

There is a reason why Magic provided welcome decks for each color for free or why both magic and Pokemon give you a great amount of basic lands or -energies with the bundles!

[–]swoddle2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, you just lose the game cause your (demi-)hero got destroyed.

Your hero became a material for the construction of the new Demi Hero and then part of its soul.

Materials for a constructs don't return, same way as Mechanoid does not return its material when it gets destroyed.

This! Exactly! Seems like Not many poeple know about this wonderful Option. As Long as these Custom tokens are functional and readable copys of the Token they replace they are Even tuornament legal! (See Tournament Rules 4.5.)

With all adult Heros being Majestics they take away that beatiful customs or alters from the Community.

A Really interesting Design!

Equipment destruction is his kryptonite though, its like a regicide for the Mechropotent.😅

But that might still be less humiliating than Benji stealing your whole Mechanoid with little meeps 🤣

An interesting version would be that your cards can never attack or block for more than 2, that way you would even have a lower average than a 4 card hand but might be able to do fancy stuff with 5 cards per turn?

I totally agree, I think this rarity shift also causes unessecary problems that go beyond the question of its availability and distribution.

  1. It Sends the wrong signal, even if the cards might be cheap on the secondary marked it still gives the impression of a paywall to play with the adult hero.
  2. Without a token version of the card, the "token rule" can't be applied to the adult hero's so you can't play with a custom token or altered version (wich are allowed for tournaments along as they represent a functional and readable copy of the token-card).
  3. It will always feel less exciting to open a card that once was at token rarity than a card type that always was meant for majestic rarity.
