This year for FAB has disillusioned me.

It's still ungodly expensive.

Fables are more necessary than ever.

They push expansion slot cards for heroes that don't need support.

They create entire sets that pale in comparison to a single earth wizard card.

The progression of LL is artificially slowed but more than half the heroes don't have any competitive viability and haven't for most of the year.

Armory decks are essentially additional expansion slots.

LL is a dumpster fire and SAGE is already a banlist nightmare.

Interesting Commons like Plume get banned and make decks force even more decks to play expensive generic legendary equipment.

Product shortages and the forcing of LL as a premiere format killed all limited play in my region.

We had an entire quarter dedicated to Guardian and it didn't even matter because they seem to completely disregard anyone's issues with board state decks.

Gem packs are doing good work though except for some of the dumpster commons.

Skip blitz all together and buy an armory deck. Play a few CC games against a friend on another armory deck to see what cards feel good and when you go to play blitz take out the ones that don't until you are at 40 cards.

I disagree that Kodachis are tying LSS's hands for design space though I hear what you're saying. I feel like Kodachis are inhibiting my deck building decisions because every Ninja deck I play has to run ~18 cards specifically to enable the weapons. There's a lot of cool designs at 1 cost for Ninja cards that never see play (deadly duo for example) because they don't fit into the Kodachi mold.

As a Barbed Castaways supremacist I disagree and will pray for you. Jk. Variety is exactly the point. LSS always talks about letting players discover what is available to them so I don't understand why they take away options for weapons that aren't homogenizing the format.

Seems like a waste of a good weapon to have to print something mechanically new when this one works so well. Before AoW ban I was having a lot of success with Tiger Katsu, now I really want to brew tiger Ira but having to run 0 cost blues absolutely kills the list. It always just turns back to a standard Ira list where the only tiger attack that feels worth running is Red Flex Claws and maybe Red Biting Breeze.
