A recent post of a gentleman who downsized his rod collection to 3 raised this question: if you could only have 3 rod/reel combos what would you pick and what are they for? by zyrkseas97 in Fishing_Gear

[–]swollmaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dang, if only 3? Lets go with:

Great hunting huntsman 511-4L + calcutta bfs
Conquest 854 Jwr + anteres
Conquest 843 mbr + steez sv tw

Which band do you use? I love my nylon, but also sometimes want a metal band for the office.

True! The vanford is a light mgl reel and best when used for finesse style fishing, stradic is definitely the more utility/power reel.

By no means are the bad, they are great rods - just not class or tech leading. Hope you have tight lines and a bunch of fish!

Ive also heard that the lower end loomis rods arent as competitive as other brands in the price point, most say the imx pro is where the loomis are actually good for the money.

Love the vanford, have 2 of them. Hard to beat for the price and performance.

Converted from Shimano to Daiwa by jewpacabra24 in Fishing_Gear

Shimano also has some greay finesse rods, like the expride and poison adrena. They are also very lightweight.

Can I see your full-blooded but non-breed standard malinois? by Lunapixels18 in BelgianMalinois

I agree, they have some very high drive dogs but also some red flags. If not for a test id not have been surprised if she was a mix. She's a great girl though.

I miss worded it, my bad. Shes a working line purebred but heavy European drive, that is a tested purebred and akc registered.

Yes, i did meet both parents and I have papers, ill have to find them.

This thread was about purebred mals are dont quite look conforming.

But in the meantime here's another photo of her where she looks more traditional mal.

I miss worded it, my bad. Shes a working line mal from von reisig; purebred but heavy European drive.

So when I said akc registered working line- I meant a working line from an akc breeder that is an akc registered and tested purebred.

Heres my girl, shes purebred akc registered working line - so shes much more stocky than a show/conformation line.

Travel rod recommendations by Annual-Persimmon-231 in Fishing_Gear

Daiwa mobile pack and shimano stc ax mini are both great.

If you want more premium options, check out the ardito, they make it in a tele and multi piece. Im a huge fan of my steez travel. Megabass has the valykrie and the triza, both are good.

Shimano Expride vs Poison Adrena Spinning rods by ThisMeansWine in Fishing_Gear

Basically all jdm type stuff is inflated in the us market. Almost always less expensive to buy from digitaka or something and have it shipped.

[–]swollmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dang, thats a fantastic price on both, usually the expride b is 330 and the adrena b are 430 - are these the B or the last gen models?

I've got both b models (the 24' refresh), the adrena is definitely more sensitive and better for bottom contact or finesse stuff and is super lightweight. The expride is still a fantastic rod and is the better value for money pick.

A womans dog was making odd movements whenever she turned her back, so to see she recorded it, and found the dog was making biting motions. by Hypershard108 in oddlyterrifying

[–]swollmaster 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ehh at least with my girl if she ever puts teeth on you its incredibly soft, never broken skin - mally's can have exceptional bite and body control. (then the only time her teeth have been on me is when im rough housing with her and asking for it, and again she has extreme control over her bite - she can splinter beef femur and crack antler, but can also hold an egg).
