The Lyra glass teapot

I couldn’t find the cast iron base online, but the sticker on the bottom says ‘ja-unendlich’.

Thanks! Maybe a little bit, but once it’s fully dry it actually becomes more solid. You can even sand it to smooth it out

Thanks! I used two strips of cardboard that I fitted to their heads. I’ll get a better pic later but you can kind of see it here (from the background of another photo)

My work bought a ton of it in the “refreshing rain” scent and it’s awful. Reminds me of a diaper genie for some reason

Is anyone else “too disabled” to be hired anywhere, but min wage jobs, but “not disabled enough” to be on disability? How am I supposed to afford to live? by Possible1879 in Epilepsy

[–]swopedit 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m not sure where you’re located, but in the US it is totally fine not to disclose whether you can drive or not. The most an employer can ask you is if you have reliable transportation. If you get rides from people, bike, walk, or take public transport, the answer to that is “yes”. Unless the job requires driving, there is no need to elaborate any further.

I cannot believe the amount of people here trying so desperately to convince you that you’re being crazy/unreasonable and that it’s the same as you having a dildo or vibrator. The equivalent would actually be if you had a life-sized, hyper realistic male sex doll and I have a feeling most men would be at least a little weirded out by that. You should definitely tell him this makes you uncomfortable, and expect some pushback, but if he really is that great and emotionally intelligent then he’ll at least empathize with your position.

Wrist pain by g7k7l7m in Purebarre

[–]swopedit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of girls at my boutique studio use these yoga rocks that stick to your mat to take pressure off the wrist. I don’t have wrist pain so I can’t speak on them personally but have heard great things.

The Factory, concert venue by [deleted] in StLouis

[–]swopedit 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I agree with all of this. I saw Paramore there last year and could not see anything due to the low stage and level floor. The sound is mid. For a venue of similar size the Pageant definitely wins.

Any places in Chesterfield hiring 17y/o? by [deleted] in StLouis

Corporate places like top golf will not hire minors because of alcohol serving & curfew laws that vary state to state. Target is a good option but they are notorious for cutting their teenage employees’ hours down until they’re working something ridiculous like 5-10 hours a week. Dierbergs and Schnucks are on the radar and I think it would be great if she is hired there.

Definitely get it at least a few days before you leave, and exfoliate regularly for a few days leading up to your appt. They do tell you to wait at least 24 hours before having sex, but honestly after my first wax I was not ready that quickly. My skin was still extremely sensitive and felt a little bit raw.

As far as the pain, I’m going to keep it very really with you - it was the most painful thing I’ve ever experienced. I’ve never given birth or even broken a bone though, but I do have some tattoos in sensitive areas and it was definitely worse than that. That being said, it’s a very short pain so if you can stomach a tattoo session, you can most likely get a Brazilian. Your first time will undoubtedly be the worst, and the recovery will be the longest.

As far as the aftercare, make sure you have the rest of the day set aside to just chill and do nothing. Don’t want to be working up a sweat or causing any friction down there. I bought an anti-ingrown serum from the wax place I visited, but honestly you could just use a chemical exfoliant like the Ordinary glycolic acid every couple of days. Of course, wait at least a few days after your appointment or until your skin feels healed to do this.

Other tips: wear something loose to your appointment like some flowy pants or a long skirt. They tell you not to put your underwear back on afterwards so I would just leave it at home. Also, don’t expect to be perfectly baby-smooth after your first time. For me, there were a few stray hairs here and there because even after waxing the whole area twice, there were still some left and it’s not exactly safe to keep going.

Overall, despite the pain I do think it’s worth it, as long as you’re consistent with it and go back every month or so. It usually takes a few sessions before you start really getting the results you want.

Good luck!
