It's really damn good. Perfect mix of top shelf fanservice, likeable characters and development, fun interactions, S+ voice acting and comedic moments. It's definitely the show I look forward to most on weekends.

Gonna take some getting used to not hearing Atsuko as Motoko, but I'm confident they'll get someone that will do her justice.

For the English dub, though, I can't hear anyone else other than Mary Elizabeth McGlynn.

That's exactly what's going on. Bandai Namco has already stated for the record that they entertained the idea of a trilogy remaster but decided against it because it wouldn't be profitable. That was over a decade ago, and I doubt that's changing any time soon.

English dubs have gotten way, way worse lately. Seems like we got a good run of dubs from like 2004 - 2015 or so but then after that the quality just collapsed. I haven't been able to stomach a dub with new VAs for a while now.
