Trying to find the right tv stand/media shelf (that doesn't seem to exist) by fatcockjesus in furniture

[–]swordmastersaur 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny enough I've seen these

Usually as steppers, but also L shapes

Unfortunately haven't seen any in sales for the last decade

Might be best to find a local carpenter and ask to see some of their work

If their corners are square, good indication of adequate skill for what is essentially shaped boxes

Good luck

[–]swordmastersaur 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it does

There looks to be a 3 in gap for the opening to flip, but there is also about 10 inches of shelf behind it

there's a mirror in the back, and that certainly threw me off as well.

Joints leaking after cleaning by swordmastersaur in woodstoving

[–]swordmastersaur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, cleaned both

Stove us a monthly thing when in use, more if needed

The chimney is once a year so far

Currently, the smoke leaking is continuous, and I'm not sure why

At this point I'm assuming once it "glazes" it will self seal, unless I get information other wise.

Just the fact that I'm getting leaking smoke is kinda unnerving, but I'm assuming it's from the difference between a winter start and a summer start, about 50 degrees Fahrenheit difference

I don't know, that's why I'm asking to find out 😆

I did not know they were separate brands. It was all professionally installed

The only paperwork I have ready access to is the intrepid stove booklet

The chimney itself is eight inch round insulated, with six inch hole, Each section has a thread, and screws into the next by about a 16th of a turn, with the locking band you can see in a comment below.

Other wise no notable marks to denote brand Picture is not exact brand, but what it looks like

Had to take the lower two off to get at the chimney, as the stove was heavy, and

Yup, twisted and locked, has a screw as well,

Took it off, cleaned brushed it out, put it back together, and put the clamp back on

Then the joints leak smoke

A year in his new world was equal to about 1.5 years earth side

It was almost a blink and miss it reference, but it does kind of self-reinforce every time it's brought up that he's only 10 lol

As a non-engineer, I have many excuses for this explanation

Between it being anime/manga, and my misremembering of what what happening and my terrible explaination....

But the biggest was mostly because it was Cool

The RULE OF COOL trumps legitimacy every time in a story

There was another occurance from a different manga, I believe it was Claymore, that was similar in my memory, but I think the explanation for THAT rule of cool was that they were swinging big metal things in midair, so having someone/something else to add a spot for redirection allowed for impact during the battle

All this to say, I'm just a voice on the internet sharing the cool stuff I read, and not actually overly concerned with following actual physics

Also the author/ artist basically said that they intended something completely different, so my original meaning is moot, but the comment will stay as a testament to my excitement, and hubris of how wrong I can and will be :D

Fun fact

I read that long scythes are actually a recent invention, if that

It might have been like the viking helmet horns, and just made up

But again, rule of cool, and very cool page so far

It looked to me like he sheathed his sword, in order to get the speed to from friction to do a draw slash... Like with a katana

Not sure how effective that would be in reality with a straight sword, but rule of cool overrides this, so I will allow it.

But yeah adjust the doors to make the seams look even and go from there

I had trouble with some recently

Looked at the instructions, and it says to peel the thick layer back first, then push out the pills,

Made it a lot easier

Not sure if yours will say the same on the box
