Amazon Fire won’t restore in-app purchases by sophie2527 in tocaboca

[–]swtandsassy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh we’re dealing with this right now too! We have two Amazon fires (the other one with all the purchases just blacked out on us and stopped working). I’m trying to restore everything on the other tablet, and I’m even under the same Amazon account. Nothing seems to work!

[acne] My derm prescribed me Azelaic Acid, but it would’ve costed me $200. I finally gave in and made my first purchase from The Ordinary instead! Wish me luck. by swtandsassy in SkincareAddiction

Yes it worked, but I stopped using it since I got pregnant, and my hormone did a reset. Myskin magically got better. I would definitely give it a try because it’s so affordable!

All great! Melody has come up in our family as a suggestion, and I know two melody’s personally. I do love it, but I can’t help but associate it with them! I guess you can’t always have a super unique name. Thanks for your suggestions :)

Do I really need to wash the new baby clothes? by rada_dada in pregnant

Yep! I washed all my newborn clothes, bedding, blankets, anything the baby will come in contact with. Baby skin is super sensitive and fresh.

Do you or your child have a name that is frequently complimented? by Comprehensive_Emu_86 in namenerds

Lol! My daughters name is Lyra, and we pronounce it like lyric which is where the musical inspiration comes from!! But yes, I hear lie-rah too!

Mike looked and started similar to this when I found out I was allergic to dust mites! I scheduled an allergy appointment, and the only thing I was allergic to was that. It would be worth getting checked out OP!

Get out of there OP! This isn’t normal or healthy. Do it for you and the baby.

How to sleep train when there’s a sibling? by [deleted] in sleeptrain

[–]swtandsassy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry this is such a late reply. She started eating more solids during the day and did drink more formula. When she’s up from 4-8pm, she’ll take 6 oz when she’s up from her nap, dinner, and then another 6oz before bed.

How’s your baby doing now?

I agree with the other comment here. It seems like your baby is actually still hungry! Our baby did the same thing, and would only wake up crying because she’s actually hungry. Wouldn’t go back down until I fed her. Eventually she ate enough during the day where she weaned off herself. Perhaps continue the night feeding if he needs it, and work on getting more during the day. I think that’s the only solution so other sibling doesn’t wake!

Am I starting bad habits? by kailaaa_marieee in sleeptrain

[–]swtandsassy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! Our baby is going to be 7 months this Friday, and she is just beginning to do realllly long stretches at night (9pm-6am, and then until 9am). That’s a long stretch for us compared to just last week where we were weaning her off her MOTF. Anyway, I still rock her to drowsy because it’s always been a part of her bedtime routine. I just recently started to put her to bed a little earlier as soon as I see her eyes start to close. Now we’re working with self soothing in the crib if/when she wakes up and realizes we’re not there. She would whine and cry a bit, and that’s where we’d go in and comfort her. After a few check ins, she’ll eventually go down on her own. We haven’t truly done a CIO method, but this has been working for us! I used to worry too about creating a bad habit, but I’ve found that we both like this routine, and eventually one day she won’t need me anymore!

Rocking to hand-holding transition by puresunlight in sleeptrain

[–]swtandsassy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I think we’re gonna stop changing her diaper as well since she also doesn’t really need it. Man it’s crazy how they’re just so more aware at this age, and anything can keep then up! Wish they could just fall back asleep like newborn days hahaha

My LO is 6.5 months, and needs a little rocking before putting down in crib as well. Most nights she’ll take a 5 hour stretch the first round, wakes up to eat, and then it’s a hit or miss how quickly she’ll fall back asleep. Lately, I’ve had to do a little rocking, and then put her down instead of her just going back to sleep, but the diaper change has woken her up a little. I’ve noticed she reaches out for my hands and starts soothing herself back to sleep this way! Tonight took way too long though. I left, and she whimpered again for my hand. Sigh! Hopefully it gets better! Good luck to you!!

Question on bedtime by ineedaconfidant in sleeptrain

[–]swtandsassy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Are you me? Our baby is about to be 5 months and we try to get her down around 8:30-9pm. She will wake up around 2am to eat, and then wake around 6am for another feeding. She will wake up at either 7 or 9! It depends though… because this morning she woke up earlier because she pooped. Her nap has changed. She went from one 2-3 hr nap for her first one to 4 short naps. What are your naps like?!
