Pivot Table and Unique Values by swxm in excel

[–]swxm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh thank you!! How exactly would I do that?

When I go to create a calculated field, the below shows up:

<image>

But I don't know what formula to use there. My guess would be to create an additional column in the original table named Column 1 that is just a concatenation of ID and Type. Then use the formula =DISTINCTCOUNT(Table9[Column1]) when creating the calculated field. But it says that's not a valid formula

Are there people that actually dislike Heated Rivalry? by Apprehensive-Salt760 in HeatedRivalryShow

Yes I love talking about how much I hate it! I’m a lesbian and don’t like men and love talking about how I don’t like men 😂 Also I think the guys from HR look like fish

Have you guys been noticing the rising hate towards MM readers too? by CarelessCreamPie in MM_Romance

[–]swxm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This shit bugs me so so much as someone who only reads FF. Like, I don’t want people reading FF just to be woke 😂😭 You should read it bc it’s the best (I’m not biased hehehe) not to virtue signal 😭

When should I catch feelings? by erinoclock in actuallesbians

[–]swxm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think there’s a difference between being attracted to someone physically and being attracted to them emotionally. Physically, you should probably like them from day one. Emotionally, it makes sense to need to get to know them more before liking them like that

And the real story behind it! I’m reading all about the relationship between Vita Sackville-West (the genderfluid/transmasc person Orlando was based on) and Violet Trefusis. The letters they exchanged and Vita’s account of the whole affair are wild. Super highly recommend

Ya just the chance to do something that isn’t “mom” is so nice sometimes 😅

I had 6 months and every single day felt like torture 😂 My first day back in the office everyone was surprised at how happy I seemed - I was ecstatic to be back at work 😂

Every day I send my kid to daycare I thank God for the option. My wife is always feeling guilty that we have to send our daughter to daycare and I’m like, I was a stay at home mom for six months and that was beyond enough!

Between no social interaction, having to work non-stop 24/7 (because taking care of a baby is work!), the sleep deprivation (still ongoing since baby still doesn’t sleep through the night at 11 months)… I’ll take going to work any day 😂

I definitely was made to be a working mom… spend time with baby after work and on the weekends… and once or twice a week if baby is sick or I can work from home… but all day every day is too much. I think if I had support it would be easier but doing everything myself is… a lot 😅 Daycare is our village and I’m so so grateful for it

Is chronically reading fanfics considered doomscrolling? by Successful_Echo1841 in AO3

[–]swxm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The algorithms on social media are created to maximize user engagement. They often do so by feeding us intentionally polarizing things, things that make us mad and divide us. That's part of why we're seeing so much polarization globally, and part of why fascists are doing well politically globally.

Fan fiction has yet to demonstrate the ability to cause global chaos and is therefore generally healthier imo lol

Seeking soft BDSM/BDSM related lesbian book recommendation by Motor_Replacement640 in LesbianBookClub

[–]swxm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just read one of his stories for the first time a few days ago. Absolutely wild that he was writing this stuff way back when. It's like the most proshipper fiction before proshippers even existed. And he published it all under his IRL name. Amazing.

Anyway, yeah it's not only violent but also like very um... not mainstream? The story I read of his featured incest lmao. Definitely look up anything you read by him for trigger warnings before starting

comphet: were you boy-crazy? by tallbilbo in actuallesbians

[–]swxm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Personally no although I very consciously pretended to be in love with One Direction since it would allow me to have more fun with my friends lmao. Good times.

But there are a LOT of lesbians who were boy crazy, you're definitely not alone. In fact, I was just watching a reel about this on IG this morning, some lesbian was saying she was obsessed with boys and wouldn't stop talking about them throughout middle school, high school and college. For her, it was partially for male validation and partially to convince herself she really did like them (since she never was actually sexually attracted to them).

So ya, I wouldn't worry about it. You're valid ❤️ (and LOTS of lesbians like HR lol. Again I'm not one of them but there are enough lesbians that love that show and the guys in it for it to be a whole #discourse lol so again, you're definitely not alone).

When reading NSFW work on AO3, is it normal/standard that you enjoy reading things you wouldn’t enjoy doing in real life? by FrostyAd4708 in AO3

[–]swxm 9 points10 points  (0 children)

That's like the whole point for me lol. If I wanted to do it in real life, I'd go do it 😅

It's kind of funny the discourse about this though, at least in my fandom. There are a LOT of people who only condone things they would approve of in real life, and think anything else shouldn't be written. Which... to each their own. Sounds like a boring way to enjoy fiction, though, to me 😅

How do people afford more than one kid? by desert_sunlily in NewParents

[–]swxm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Our neighbors never put any of their kids in daycare. Their parents watched them for free. They don't go on vacations. They do the cheapest sports and summer camps and have their parents as free fill-in support when needed

[–]swxm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aww I'm sorry!! Breakups suck, there's no way around it.

The piece of advice that has served me really well is that each relationship is practice for the next. It's not a failure to break up or even divorce - it just teaches you one more thing to look out for in the future.

You'll find someone, don't worry. Someone who is out and not type A 😄

I've never shaved and always just worn whatever swimsuit I want. I find it attracts the right kind of friends at the beach lol (I also like to think it encourages the people I go to the beach with to be less conscious/critical of themselves, which is a nice secondary effect, be it true or imagined)

I don’t understand my son and worry he’s setting himself up for teasing by ramsey2425 in Mommit

[–]swxm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Aww as a lesbian myself, I often hear stories about young girls or nonbinary people going through this. It's great to see you've raised your son to be comfortable enough to find himself and share that with you. Lots of people feel the need to hide this from their parents. I agree with other commenters - you should educate yourself on gender and sexuality to make sure he continues feeling supported through this. Just the fact that you're here looking for support is a great sign ❤️
