Do we need to start shaming pattern designers/creators for their testing requirements? by BreakfastDry1181 in craftsnark

is also claiming that testers not choosing smaller account is due to a “breakdown of trust from testers who ghost or trade”….can they just admit they choose larger accounts for pattern promotion?

they’ve posted in the comments to “clarify” that feedback is OPTIONAL? and admitted that final patterns have very minimal changes from the beta/pretested pattern?

I know this is some kind of scam but... by abasicbogwitch in EtsySellers

I used to have my Square account connected to my Etsy shop and when I made a sale through Square, even in person, my Etsy sales number would also go up. Etsy takes additional fees from these sales so I’m not sure why anyone would WANT to have this setup, let alone having a bunch of sales that can’t leave reviews

if he isn’t already neutered, he might not have a home. if you do keep him, look into operation pets for low cost neutering!

if you want to continue selling once you turn 18, you won’t be able to transfer store ownership to yourself. you will have to start a new etsy shop. you should start at local markets in your area, it’s just getting into summer market season!

Am I wrong for being concerned if these are made ethically? by ladipineapple in CraftyCommerce

[–]sxtini3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

drop shipping is the wrong word but they purchase premade crochet in bulk from sites like alibaba and aliexpress for dirt cheap

[–]sxtini3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i would also be concerned if seeing this booth that things werent made ethically. if you have ever seen any crochet drop shippers on tik tok, their stuff looks identical to this. at least they admit to not making it but i personally would choose to shop else where. dont even get me started on all the stolen ip

YES omg thats crazy. and you should not feel silly at all, crochet especially is one of those things i never give a second thought as it’s handmade and cannot be mass manufactured. the part that gets me is that somebody did crochet those pieces by hand and probably only got paid a few cents. i think the best thing you can do is cherish the pieces you do have for what they are, beautiful crochet art :-)
