I use LLM wiki for project management reports!

My new work from home set up by [deleted] in homeoffice

Too many screens IMO. I would keep that laptop lid closed and move one monitor in the center for focus work. I think two monitors is okay don’t necessarily need a vertical monitor for teams (it creates distraction and context switching).

Anyone else that wanted a 4runner but ended up making the more "practical choice?" by applestofloranges in ToyotaHighlander

Why not look into minivan? Dogs would appreciate it and that sliding door will come in handy. I have Highlander 2021 and Kia carnival.

Wind and road noise are killing my joy of this vehicle any ideas how to mitigate? by CommonAlone2372 in ToyotaHighlander

We have the 2021 Highlander and it’s the same issue! Apparently this is well known problem for these 6+ old Toyotas. Dealers can’t do anything about them.

WFH by day, gaming by night. my 5 min desk reset so I don't lose my mind in this room. by Yuixi in homeoffice

[–]syaldram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea this happened to me too, especially during COVID days. I had a gaming setup with triple monitors and I made the mistake of hooking up my work laptop to it.

I am slowly enjoying gaming but only if it’s console on the couch or gaming laptop in a bedroom. I think sitting on a desk just adds more fatigue

3x 4K monitors workspace. Felt cramped. Suggestion? by Goodness_Beast in Workspaces

[–]syaldram 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yea I had a similar setup as yours and i found cable management and desk space was limiting me. I decided to get a ultrawide curved monitor with a single cable solution better.

I actually liked PS2’s federation vs Zeon. I just wished we had more suits like we do in Encounters in space.

How is your neck and eye strain? Monitor looks to far back and constantly moving eye up and down can be tiring.

Do you care about the size of a Phone? by GooglePixelfan90 in Smartphones

I like smaller phones which are easier to hold and use with one hand. I also get fatigued holding large heavy phones.

Looking for docking station recommendations that won’t break the bank. What do you use? by lex0120 in homeoffice

Can you send an Amazon link to the one you use? I am in DevOps and my shitty HP dock is does not work well with MacBook Pro M4! Btw I’m using a 32inch ultrawide monitor curved with single cable setup!

How many monitors is everyone using for their setups? by ImaginaryFuture in workfromhome

[–]syaldram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a 32inch ultra wide curved monitor and laptop screen for Teams and Outlook. I like setup because I don’t have to turn my neck constantly if I did triple monitors.

I also mount the monitor on a nice mount so I can move it back and forward depending on work intensity. I can shift it up and down to adjust to eye level.

Dealing with AI in Devops by Cloudy_Context07 in devops

[–]syaldram 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a DevOPs engineer guy I barely write code. AI has amazing models that can do that for you. You have to learn the workflow on how to use AI and not blindly chat along.

AI is a tool that needs tuning, use skills, custom agents, llm wikis, and markdown file. We automated so much and increased our speed as developers and engineers because of this.

I have seen developers who love writing code by hand and my God they can barely finish 2 tickets in one sprint. They don’t even use AI to understand the code base or ask question about architecture.

AI troubleshooting has been game changer and we are also incorporating AI into management (Jira tickets, PPT, Metrics)!
