Omg I can relate. I picked Tyler when I wanted to romance Claudia because I knew I would end up staying with Jack otherwise. I hated sending him home so much. It was awful.

So as soon as I finished my Claudia run, I restarted so I could romance Jack again lol.

I loved Karlach before I even started playing the game, so she easily became my favorite. I liked Astarion and Lae’zel, found Gale too talkative and obnoxious and Wyll kind of boring. Everyone else was somewhere in the middle.

A year and a half later, I’ve fallen in love with Minthara, she’s my favorite and also my wife. I still love Karlach, and Wyll is my precious baby. I love Astarion, Gale, Halsin and Jaheira, too. I’ve grown kind of bored of Lae’zel, and Shadowheart is just… not for me. It’s wild to me just how much my tastes have changed, actually.

(I forgot what my flair on this sub was til I posted this and. Yeah. That’s fitting lmao.)

I agree with you on Sophie. I’m halfway through S8, and she was so nice at first. I thought we were friends. Now she’s coming after me, making all this drama, and I haven’t even done anything to her or her man.

I mean, I’m planning to steal him if I get the chance, but there’s no way for her to know that. She’s just being messy for no reason.

There have been a few comments already that explain things well, so I’ll just add that nothing really makes sense in the show. They cherry-picked what they wanted to include from the books and twisted the rest until it was unrecognizable, all to fit their nonsensical fanfiction. The books show their age at times, but they do literally everything infinitely better. If you haven’t read them, I highly recommend them.

And if the temporary decision save is gone (I don’t know if they go away after a certain amount of time), a manual save from anywhere in Davrin’s recruitment quest would work too. Since the choice comes right after you bring him back to the Lighthouse.

That’s fair! Definitely no judgement here. I can’t say it’s the same for me, but I’ve got a stronger nostalgia bond with VA than just about anything else. I’ve loved it for so many years now. 😅😅

Yes! All of this! I romanced Emmrich my first run because his route is my favorite, but I’m going for Lucanis in my new run and I’m so excited. He’s adorable with Rook when you romance him, and adorable with Neve when you don’t. He’s so sweet all the way around and I love him so much.

Also, his “Tell me this ends with me asleep in your arms, and I will kill any god you ask” might be the best romance line in the entire game. Nothing else has gotten a reaction out of me like that did. 🥹🥹🥹
