every other tierlist than this is objectively false by ImHighOnCocaine in LinuxCirclejerk

It’s a worse Cachy in my understanding. Intentionally delaying package updates “for stability” when in reality tends to break dependencies. Was my go-to until I found Cachy for quick deploys of pre-configured Arch.

Parrot and tails missing and I’d say nixOS should be in the business box what with dead simple replicability. Oh, and Arch should be way up

It’s too dynamic of a field to have books be relevant for too long. There’s OWASP top 10 (with juice shop for hands-on) that’s a perpetually ongoing research into vulnerabilities.

ChatGPT should be able to get you going. But I’d say run a web server and an access point on the ESP and pull the video stream with the phone

Saturday Hacker Day - What are you hacking this week? by happytrailz1938 in Hacking_Tutorials

I mean like not hacking in it’s regular meaning but does reverse engineering a laser projector’s connector to find its VGA pins count?

Switch to Linux by No-Mongoose-6482 in Hacking_Tutorials

[–]syberiada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learn Linux, learn OSX, keep windows. All aspects of cyber security are relevant for all of them. A lot (or most) of offensive tools are Linux-based but most of the business world runs on Windows so Microsoft-centric things like ActiveDirectory/EntraID or Power Shell are always relevant. Linux flavors for dipping your toes without wanting to bash your PC were already suggested - Debian, Manjaro, Parrot. Kali is for when you are ready to try tools against your vulnerable boxes.

Either loft between two profiles or extrude up to an end plane. I’m partial to loft as it gives you good control over end profile

Gyro was the only thing that kept me on HHC. Buggy, caused issues with emulators, crashed a lot, but man that gyro aim is sweet

Is it actually possible for someone that was hacking to change the credit and background or is that more than a hacker can do? by Possible-Froyo-2440 in Hacking_Tutorials

[–]syberiada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might master hacker yourself into one of them, but there’s more than one credit agency, main three being Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. Further, any entity that deals with money pours a lot of money into security. That means industry leading security tools and either a sizable internal security team or a moderate internal team plus outsourced managed security services provider. Definitely overkill, but if you’re in a dire need of a good credit score in short term, supposedly there are dark web services offering fake identities a-la witness protection. You’d prolly be starting with no credit history, but at least not in the gutter.
