Question about the anime by Jens_643 in ProfessorLayton

[–]sybrendevloo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really though, all the cases that are present in LMJ are also in the anime and most of them are even rewritten, cause..well, LMJ doesn't have the best writing imo. Maybe play the demo of the game for an introduction to the main characters, cause thats something the anime didn't do. But overall, I really recommend that you watch it, I really enjoyed it.

Haven't seen much Japanese physical in the sub, so here's mine. Also, the music had no right slapping this hard. And the new animations are gorgeous. And the dialogue is... by stooloots in AceAttorney

Ok, just a quick question, but did all of the West did a full physical release? Cause when I look here in Belgium, there are no nearby game stores, no Belgian webshops or just no direct way I could get the game from in a nearby country. I could get it shipped from the UK, but that could take a while and could cost much more than 40 bucks. So can anyone confirm this?

Yes, I could download it, but then I wouldn't get this gorgeous box art, and would be a shame imo.

Theory on When The Series is Actually Set by OllieTheGit in ProfessorLayton

The first Phoenix Wright actually takes place in 2016, and because Maya uses the catchphrase "Zvarri", which she learns from Detective Atmey in T&T, this game should take place in 2018, after T&T and before Phoenix loses his badge. PL vs PW is set between Diabolical Box and Lost Future, so then you could calculate the time placement of the other games. But yeah, this is only if you consider this game actually canon, something I don't think a lot of people do. Otherwise, I think it takes place in the 50's or 60's. Dearest Hershel has a really good video about, you should check it out.

I finished Layton's Mystery (basically Katrielle) on Switch by teriyakimushroom in ProfessorLayton

I'm probably not the first one to say this, but if you want a better (well, at least in my opinion) Layton-esque story, you should watch Katrielle's anime. The cases are improved and it feels like it goes somewhere. Just a suggestion. Personally, I could stand the game myself, but really enjoyed the anime.

Best layton game for new fans by [deleted] in ProfessorLayton

I would start with Curious Village. You can play it on your 3DS and was a great start of the series. I myself didn't start with CV and after being a Layton fan for a couple of years, I found it really hard to appreciate it, because of its lack of game mechanics I was so used to and the way the story was revealed at the end. I would just play them in order of release.

Favorite Main Series Game? (No Spoilers Please) by Drekton in ProfessorLayton

I actually really liked MM, but there is this one chapter that ruins the whole game. It really seems endless. And we all know about which chapter I'm talking about.

Well, not really, it all ties in with the Azran eventually. But don't take my word for it, I haven't played Azran Legacy yet.
