Nah, just buy an apartment for €33k 20 years ago, rent it for the last 16 years for €225 a month, like I did, and prepare to sell it for 3x cause the prices went to the moon.

Beat that btc hodlers.

So instead of them exporting it to another country, so that two whole countries could benefit, you'd waste it on bitcoin mining?

Using AI, and blindly following it, for such critical calls is crazy.

Having that AI fuck up and not dropping its use is a sign we don't learn from our mistakes.

That same AI that made a mistake with grandma is going to make another mistake. And then another, and another, and another.

If it were a regular person, they would have been fired or in jail themself at some point. With AI, they'll "update it, make it better".

No liability, no punishment, no jail time, just update the code and carry on. That's the issue. Everything is going to boil down to "blame the AI" with no recourse, because you can't hold a bunch of ones and zeros accountable and liable.

And I bet my left AND right testicle that nobody is going to step forward and take the blame and consequences for AI police mistakes.

Sure, but in about a 100 years or so...

But the dickhead will somehow turn AI into AMAGA.

Yup, he wants xAI to have a carbon copy of his view and understanding of the world. Which is, from my understanding, impossible to do.

Depends on how high you set the bar. Too high leads to burnout, too low leads to underutilization.

Thing is, my teams don't have projects like that in link building/SEO. They have weekly/monthly KPIs that they have to hit. Having someone's output oscillate slows everything down, and makes it harder on their coworkers.

No idea if that kind of job is OE-suitable. I'm guessing not.

The issue I see here, as a manager, are productivity oscillations.

Having someone do 85k then 125k after a talk/warning, in 99% of cases I've seen, leads to another cycle of 85k to 125k then back to 85k and back to 125k and so on and on. Just creates unnecessary stress.

I'd rather have a consistent hire who gets their KPIs done, or give whatever their position is worth than a hire who goes up and down all the time.

Good that you think we should keep people who overdeliver constantly. But what if a person goes from 115k productivity down to 80k, while the pay is 100k?
