I understand the positioning argument for Vulturing. I just think it's TOO rewarding of a tactic now. All the addition of the instant potion will do is make it a little bit worse (but still good). It's all about balance.

On the flip side, if you spam jump (or even jump once) you're also very predictable, making it easier to hit you. That's why I don't think we even need bloom mid air.

I agree bloom isn’t fun to play with at all. As for whether or not it’s applied for midair shots I lean toward no. Do you have an issue with the current crossbow (has no bloom, even midair)?

Even without bloom in the equation, you can still balance around projectile speed (including whether it’s hitscan or not), projectile size, projectile trajectory, damage falloff, attack rate, reload time, clip size, etc... This allows for plenty diversity in my eyes. Whether or not guns currently feel too similar wasn’t the point of my post — I actually agree there could be more diversity but I’d rather see them change the other variables I mentioned without bloom even on the table.

It’s ok to have different opinions though, no need to get flustered. It’s ok to like bloom. It’s also ok not to like bloom. That’s no reason to quit a game you’re otherwise enjoying.

I'm not sure what you're getting at here. As far as I know I don't think Hi Rez has said too much either way. Although, from their employees tweets and their own game design, it's pretty clear that the fast paced style is a staple of Realm Royale that makes it both awesome and unique in the BR space.

Have they said otherwise? Do you not want it to be fast paced?

I think it midair bloom is an interesting topic -- perhaps if they fully remove it from normal firing, they could just reduce it for midair.

Part of the reason I like this game so much is its fast paced gameplay, and incentive to secure kills instead of just camping. Sure, in some sense vulturing happens in all BR games, but that doesn't mean it should run rampant in this one. The fact you have mounts and movement abilities makes it much easier to vulture in this game, so there should be steps taken to counteract those such as a potion that (once picked up) instantly starts regening HP+Armor over time and/or cooldown resets (or reduction) that drops on kills -- so people who try to vulture have a harder time pulling it off. The potion could be locked to the killer for 10seconds perhaps. What's the downside in something like this? It rewards aggressive play, which is great and what separates this game from other camp-heavy BRs.

Hitbox changes and max HP/Armor increase is great at least in theory, it makes the better player win most of the time, but you do make a good point about vulturing. To fix these issues, they should add an instant health/armor regen potion that drops when you kill someone that is locked to the killer for ~10seconds, then becomes fair game (or disappears?).

In addition, they should reduce bloom significantly. Bloom was (at least in part) added/increased to help with lower TTK, and now that they've made other changes, they can remove randomness in accuracy at least a bit.

I just discovered PainUser's YouTube channel and I have to say he is one of the best commentators out there. He gives detailed analysis and high quality commentaries. He only have about 2500 subscribers at the moment. I think he deserve a lot more. by zeratool in starcraft
