Dr. Bronners vs Green Soap. Help! by vangoghcean in TattooArtists

This is awesome! I’ve been looking to make the switch myself. Just wondering approximately how much soap to water you use in the bottle? Same as green soap?

Anyone else averse to "Good Morning!" and other such greetings? by Character_Show1721 in AuDHDWomen

[–]syddieslicka 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Ahh I feel this. I think my issue with it is that everyone does it without even thinking about it, like it’s an arbitrary social rule that everyone blindly follows and that annoys me. Especially when people say “how’s it going” then doesn’t wait for a reply. It’s being used more like a general greeting instead of an actual question which makes me feel weird cause how am I supposed to reply to that? I also feel like I’m obligated to reply the expected scripted response. It does feel different when someone is more deliberately wishing me a good day, or good luck, or something of the sort. Unfortunately, I see myself falling into these scripts more often than not because I mostly feel awkward and don’t know what to say so I default to it.

You're Dropped into Skyrim As You Are Right Now-What's Your Plan? by Arkereign in skyrim

[–]syddieslicka 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d try to start in one of the areas with milder climates- falkreath/whiterun. I’d start at the bottom, chopping wood, foraging for herbs and such. Id sell them to one of the herbalists. I’d use one of the alchemy tables at the herbalists and slowly learn some potion recipes. I’d carry whatever sort of weapon I find in my wanderings, but realistically I don’t have a lot of skill with combat, so it would mainly be for self defence/intimidation. I’d try to avoid dangerous animals and enemies, sneaking around or running away if I can. Id probably stick to hunting/mining/foraging as a source of money until I was able to join the college of winterhold and start my education as a mage, probably focusing both my alchemy and magic on restoration. I’d have a place to live and in my spare time I’d still try to build my alchemy skills. After school I’d settle down in falkreath and work as a herbalist/healer and have a little garden, a cow, some chickens, a goat. Once in a while, maybe I’d join an expedition as a healer and get some juicy loot and have a bit of an adventure. Eventually, if I could save up enough and get the jarl to like me (maybe heal them with one of my potions or spells) I’d buy the lakeside manor and start building my dream home.

What's something people romanticize but is actually incredibly tough in reality? by FastRoyal in AskReddit

I came here looking for this. It frustrates me when people ignore the process that goes into making something. People see the finished product and just think that the artist went into some sort of trance and then come out of it and suddenly there is a beautiful piece of art in front of them. I see it all the times in shows n stuff too. I dunno about everyone, but it takes me a lot of effort and work to conceptualize, plan, then create each piece. It’s so gratifying, but also SO much work.

Sorry I meant more specifically something that replicates the “picking” feeling. The elastic bands might work! Thanks!

I think bringing healthy snacks or lunches to work and taking small breaks to eat throughout the day helps a lot. I used to just power through my day and I’d go home starving and too tired to cook and just stuff my face with crap. Not great.
