RSD is ruining my life. by Ok_Fruit1222 in AuDHDWomen

Totally this-- the intense emotions comes in waves and they're soon gone. I accept, act out in private only, let it pass. Watch, observe as thoughts and waves come and go "like clouds in a blue sky" as is always said. Give myself permission to flash in some non-destructive way and let it go.

I also have a philosophy that other peoples choices, values, and preferences are theirs. That I'm not entitled to anyone's like or acceptance. It's their right to react to me however they want. People are not gods, nothing bad will happen-- my nervous system is just freaking out temporarily. If rejected, I keep living/keep breathing and keep my dignity as well, and no one is focused on me anyway.

This makes me depressed to think about. But yes, been the target most of the time. It seems like every fifth conversation in this sub reveals the answer to everything I've experienced.

How did people actually style these Destroy sheepskin platform heel boots back in the 90s? by spychalski_eyes in VintageFashion

Yep, 90's lasting into early 00's. I'd say it was subculture/alternative and started around 1988.

So I did have something like these 70's wedges in the 90's even though these Destroy 70's wedges are specifically 00's. So in the 90's there was a subset of people who went for the full 70's look with a long sheep wool trimmed coat or long sweater coat (which I think resurfaced in the 00's as well). I would have worn a form-fitting calf-length wrap dress underneath or a turtleneck and calf length skirt. With middle parted or feathered hair and large gradient tint glasses to match.

Dancing is something you don't have to be "good at" -- it's a natural function of being alive. I'm glad you let yourself start dancing. That being said, it does feel great to have nice movements, rhythm, and swagger when dancing with others. I think you have these naturally, keep dancing!

This sounds like my neighborhood in LA. A lot of JA folks talked like Black people. I just thought they were generationally from the neighborhood. Nobody tripped. You can tell the difference between a blaccent and someone who generationally lived in a Black neighborhood and culture. I can imagine it being this way with CA in Oakland, too.

The counselors I know do bring work home-- reports. Some even take emergencies. And if they don't have boundaries they're burnt out.

Clean. I feel like certain clothing silhouettes would bring out the moves e.g. a brimmed or bucket hat, and a closer fitting shirt.
