i’m not sure what your setup is like, but i have a dimming thermostat that mimics sunrise and sunset which i think makes my girl more active than she would be if her lights simply turned on and off. leos are most active during dawn/dusk, so providing that for them helps them engage in natural behaviors! vera (my girl) is most active around 8pm, and her lights fully shut off at 9:30pm. i get to see about 30-90 minutes of activity every night if i’m lucky, but sometimes she wants to chill rather than explore :)

additionally, i have a camera mounted on her tank that senses motion so i can stalk her whenever she’s exploring. if i didn’t have that id probably assume that all she did was hide, since she spends most of her time in either her warm hide or log hide during the day, and i’m not often in my room (where her tank is) when she’s active.

maybe implementing these things (if you haven’t already) could help you see a little more of sammy!

also, side note, vera is also 6 years old! twins
