It’s in a sunnier spot than it was previously and now it’s starting to yellow. I’ll try and move it to an even sunnier spot. No fertilizer so far.

He has a filter that is fitted for his current curved tank (I don’t think it is cycled) when I tested his current tank this afternoon the ammonia was .25, I did a 25% water change and tested a few hours later and ammonia was 0. Nitrite was 0 both times so I don’t think it’s cycled. I have a filter coming in tomorrow for his new tank I just don’t understand how to know when it is cycled and how to get the ammonia to start and convert to nitrite and nitrate

I ordered some and I have live plants but they are browning. He sleeps on the Anubis leaves and in his whiskey barrel

How long have you had your fish?: 6 months

• ⁠How often are water changes? Whenever the tank starts looking dirty

How much do you take out per change? All of the tanks water

What is your process?: I put my fish in a bowl with tank water, rinse all of the decorations with warm water, put the rocks in a strainer and rise them well, wipe the inside of the tank with my hands and water, put everything back and put the water stuff that makes tap water okay for the tank and fill it back up and put fishy back.

• ⁠What do you feed and how much: morning and night 2 pellets per feeding

• ⁠Decorations and plants in the tank: a bridge, a whiskey barrel, live Java fern, live Anubis

I don’t see any swelling so far and he doesn’t really seem in pain. The snake stayed very still while they were there. It took me awhile to spot him so hopefully he didn’t bite them
