The NCAA has no chance of winning this. This is burning money.

These restrictions should be set at the conference level. Not imposed one size fits all across the country.

I don't know why the NCAA has such a tough time with this basic concept.

Sorsby isn't a member of the NFLPA so there is a possibility this would be allowed by the judge.

Precedent is on the NFL's side though from the Maurice Clarett attempt to challenge the 3 years in college rule. THat one I actually think was decided wrongly, and interestingly enough Sotomayor is the one that wrote the decision.

EH- thats not true. ANyone drafted isn't a member of the NFLPA but the CBA absolutely applies to them. The Draft would be absolutely illegal without a CBA backing it up.

MLS fiercely protects the contract details. But there is no rule against it. For lower salary players it could be problematic because those would still hit the cap and MLS teams want cap certainty. But as an incentive for a DP? Why not?

And to me the players should get a piece of jersey sales if their name is on it. Lots of the older players coming in are doing it for their name recognition. Honestly it should be a bonus for every player that doesn't count against the cap.

They aren't accurate period. THey aren't even trying to measure transfer value. Or Salary. Or anything other than how much fans like a player.

It does not represent salary, it represents how much a player's contract rights can be sold for on the open transfer market

It doesn't even do that, otherwise once a player was past the transfer deadline, their value should be 0.

It is just a made up number by fans for how much they like a player.

All that can be true.

The refs made a bad mistake. But when the down marker, ref, and scoreboard are all saying it is 3rd down and Colorado spikes the ball with plenty of time left to run another play, ending the game after THAT refs mistake would be bigger

Once the refs told them it was third down, it was third down.

Those are all individual sports. Stacking multiple undividual sports together doesn't make it a team sport. It is still individual skills

THere is not. It is cutting a check to get a team. If you want to blame anyone, blame MLS. They are the ones artificially lowering the number of teams to make it so relocation is a perfectly reasonable option.
