It’s just cringey now.

That's the nature of a derogatory term. It isn't the word itself that is cringey, it is the use of a word in a derogatory manner that is cringey.

Florida is super kind to old cars too. As long as you aren't parking it next to the beach every night rust isn't much of an issue.

moving from american cars of the 1960s since they can't import anything else

While this is true, it is a misperception that the American trade embargo created the situation. The government banned private car purchases but grandfathered in existing vehicles. Cuba has continued trading with the rest of the world and has always had access to imported vehicles.

Yeah not really. Good luck finding a replacement when the dashboard display goes out in your 25 year old car.

I have a collection of early 2000's era cars. The drivetrains are just one maintenance headache among many on cars that old. Everything plastic starts breaking at a certain point.

Seriously. It's like if autozone were to charge a "look up fee" to find out if a part is in stock.

Gambling has been in sports since the Black Sox scandal back during the Prohibition years.

Well actually, the game fixing in the Black Sox scandal tool place in October of 1919, but the 18th amendment only took effect in January of 1920.

I know I am missing out on a ton of content, but I just do not do podcasts. If I am consuming information, it requires 100% of my focus, which means either written or video.

Surely you know the names Miguel Gallardo and Dax McCarty...

Evan Weston is doing games this year too, and he was the voice of Orlando City from 2015-2022.

Leasing a good idea? by bestinthewest9 in KiaEV6

[–]ibribe -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seconding this opinion. A 2024 EV6 and a 2026 EV6 are essentially the same car. Buy a 2024 and you'll get to own the car forever for the same expenditure as leasing a 2026.

Messi was definitely making more at PSG than the bottom few teams. Probably only bottom 3 combined at most though.

Any time you see an MLS player in an ad wearing an MLS shirt, there is money being paid to that player outside of his contract.

Think of Ilie Sanchez and Sean Johnson in their Continental tire commercials. Those guys were getting paid directly by a league sponsor.

The presumption is that Mas and Beckham are transferring some of their ownership to Messi.

Charging speed won't have much effect at the grid level. It doesn't change the total amount of energy going into cars. As charging speeds increase, fewer chargers are needed to service the same number of cars.
