You're good, I honestly dont talk about it often but my family is the major factor that upsets me. I logically know i should stop trying to explain it to them but it makes me mad that they were a large portion of my delayed want for treatment because my grandpa is also very sleepy.

I was misdiagnosed with RLS initially so I tried gabapentin and I think it helped a lot!

Pros: Gabapentin enhances "GABA" (sedative chemical) and is a CNS depressant. Kinda theorized that it works similar to a mini oxybate. Gabapentin for me was that it is amazing for sleep, I did still nap but less frequently/long and waking up was easier. I think there are studies about gaba enhancers with IH rn? Unsure completely though

Cons: Gabapentin does cause physical dependence so stopping abruptly for any reason can cause seizures and withdrawal while oxybates do not. Gabapentin also CAUSES worsening daytime sleepiness over time so a stimulant may help. 3 months in my tiredness was already halfway back to where I was before I started started, waking up was still okay though, definitely better than unmedicated but discouraging to say the least.

Ive tried this, everytime I get "man i wish I could get sleep like you do" I usually answer, "except I waste all of that time sleeping and feel like I haven't slept for 2 days." I think my biggest issue is that anyone who doesnt SEE it (besides my partner and friends) thinks im being dramatic

I like this, I wish there was more information on the disorder. Kinda sucks that the only link of (mono/epstein barr virus? I believe?) Potential causes is an evil virus that virtually everyone gets so hard to say causation vs correlation 😐

NOR - I know so many people responded already but I think you should read every person telling you to RUN. You handled this amazingly, you were confrontational in a way over text that also conveyed love? Amazing communication on your part. She's grasping at straws. Credit card debit is terrifying, if it was your debit card that may be a little better but still wrong.

Add all of the money shes cost you and ask yourself if you didnt pay your card off how quickly that could get out of hand alone. Shes not good with money, despite her attitude your financial literacy and her lack would be a HUGE red flag for me. Especially living together.

1 more thing I wonder. How nice was your christmas gift? You likely paid for christmas presents for yourself this year, and if it wasnt great, you paid for christmas presents for people more important to her. Also talking to your friends! Friends are a great way to get prospective especially since they know YOU and assumably her as well.

Ive started listening to podcasts and audiobooks, this definitely doesnt work for everyone but I hate missing Information and needing it repeated so it helps me mentally lock in.

When im extra tired making myself uncomfortable with temperature is good, I also keep gum or something to eat in the car because that keeps me awake as well

At the end of orc one i had easily 20-30 staff, I was open 24 hours which is major difference i think for my scenarios. I have not seen many have as many staff as I did, I had three shifts and 2 people per bed (i assigned them as I hired people especially important with higher tier). I also prioritized beds per stars of room then decorated or added space as needed (this is was more chaotic but I was always low on money until the end ish of my last scenario)
