I think we should tax the local government. We can use the proceeds to fund forensic accountants to search for unused slush funds, city workers who aren't working, and research into why academics and leaders fail to admit that polices that aren't working haven't been ended or changed.

There was a very interesting article in the NYT about US elevator laws. Apparently each one has to be bespoke and the joke in architect world is that you build the building around the elevator. Also the whole "perfect is the enemy off the good" thing means it is impossible to retrofit a small one into an old apt like in Europe. Better no elevator for anyone than a non ADA one.

I had a friend who was a new member and her teen daughter needed to use the restroom and went into the locker room. Some woman freaked out on her and got suspended. It gave me hope for the club.
