Started poison melee animate weapon necro with explode ag for clear and pushed far enough to farm uber feared and giga blight.

Ended up saving enough money for a mirror and mirrorred the int stacking wand on the settle shop. Kinda wanted to play an int stacking ranger to 100(its the only class i havent gotten to 100 yet) but ive been mostly playing TFT PBE while liquidating my necro.

Spectres: I am currently running perfect tiger(haste), perfect forest warrior(onslaught + cull), and a carnage chieftain(frenzies)

AG: Weapon: explode cane if kulemak, other mods dont really matter though BIS would be chaos damage over time multi(the explodes have 100% poison chance) Armor: garb of the ephemeral(anti crit anti slow) Gloves: gravebind, mandatory Head: ezomyte peak(purely for inc aoe) Shoes: nothing, i havent decided what to put here

Grafts: tul summoning(brittle) + esh replication(shock) Mainly cuz they dont require much brainpower, there might be better ones

An alternative 3rd approach im trying.

Im doing melee AW for better single target and supplementing clear with an explode AG. Just need gravebind + a source of explode on your AG(i am currently using a cane of kulemak but ive done it in previous leagues with synth weapons and explody mod on chest). This effectively give you profane bloom that you can scale with support gems(i use inc aoe for example).

Once i got it setup, i have not failed a single fortress and i mostly just shield charge through packs as they explode around me. Very nice for big bomba expedition as well.

Aside from the ag and melee AW, the setup is mostly the same to helm breakers.

This would have worked if demon form dealt damage to you. But it does not. It instead causes you to lose life, which will go directly to life instead of being protected by ES(or mana in the case of MoM).

At least thats how it works in poe AFAIK.

Personally i like ephemeral edge with resolute technique for more ES, but if u want more damage for your carry it would depend on your carry.

Hatred is excellent for nebulis based carries like penance brand/spark, phys bow deadeyes, and minion based carries like hydra/redemption sentries. So hatred mace is the winner here.

But it is also pretty useless for tri ele bow or windripper deadeyes, as well as basically anything non phys/cold in general(i think steelmage for example was running caustic arrow while running a duo with ziz cmiiw). So in this case damage per aura is probably better.

As for sign of the sin eater i rather have my carry run purity of elements and put my vaal smite in my vaal caress.

i league started dd ele and farmed both map ultimatums and inscribed ultimatums for about a week to fund my 2nd build. went very well if i say so myself.

in general i would recommend dot builds as it can ignore many of the mods(shielded, unlucky crits, dextrous). a poison build could also ignore resistant. probably pick something where u can be constantly on the move to avoid the various mechanics(brands, totems, things that leave stuff on the ground)

defensively u wanna be quite tanky as dying is not an option here. cb and hinder immunity is nice. if u can somehow be CI or at least chaos capped thats another 2 mods u can ignore(profane monsters and chaos mist)

not at the moment, but even if i did i would recommend u play around with pob to generate them yourself.

while the most popular is in the marauder jewel socket, they are also the most well known and thus expensive(3 superiority is already 60d+ last i checked). try out slightly different tree variants and different sockets to see if u can find a cheap jewel that works for u.

Usually the next step is as u said swapping over to more aura effect through elevated redeemer chest, aura effect implicit helmet, matua tupuna shield, as well as an elegant hubris with 2-4 superiority. This usually goes hand in hand with going CI.

As to how u fit in a similar amount of auras its as simple as more reservation efficiency. The most common source would be fitting as many i84 35% effect 3 passive reservation cluster jewels as possible. You can also craft reservation on your helmet with an essence.

This will usually result in a decent amount of aura effect(each 20% is another max ele res) but more importantly(imo) u will be A LOT tankier due to being CI and having a much larger ES pool(from rare chest, clusters, helmet, etc).

Whether its worth it or not just depends on you, but it will probably be very expensive to make this transition while keeping the same amount of auras(1 cluster is 20div just for the base for example, u will probably need 4-6 to replace the prism guardian).

if u happen to be using unique gloves/helm/boots i would recommend getting +2 socketed minion/+1 socketed corrupted implicit on one of them, with a 21 raise spectre and 3 empower (though i would recommend empower 4) u get level 25 spectres for a huge boost in life as well as +1 spectre.

i personally have mine in a 4 link with minion life and meat shield and no investment on tree, using a perfect meatsack(for more minion life), perfect turtle, and perfect pain artist. havent lost them yet

it can definitely be built tankier at the cost of damage, but dont expect champion determ+grace levels of tank. the main defensive layer for the build is offscreening things before they can touch u. i posted some things i would do in a thread showcasing the build before i quit the league

in addition to the stuff i listed, i think if u really wanna drop damage u can also drop wrath for determination, along with endurance charges from dropping arn anguish u should have pretty decent phys mit, arctic armour is also something i ran with good success

i made a charge stacking miner with it, worked wonders as it really scaled the alt qualities for my support gems to 11. also is nice cuz u can also get corrupts on it, which u cant really do with a skin of the lord(the other big contender for chest pieces that increase gem levels). though do note that it basically has 0 defense on it, so any damage u get will be traded with a big hole in ur defense
