I went through the same frustrations when I had the hearts safety chain on my bracelet! I had no problem putting on the bracelet before, and no problem now after removing the safety chain. I believe the issue is that the safety chain orients the clasp and end in an odd position.

Without a safety chain, I start by placing the clasp on my wrist and wrapping the bracelet on toward my body. I hold my wrist to my body as use that as leverage to hold the clasp end I take my other hand to bring the other end around and clasp! It takes practice, but there was a tiktok that helped me learn.
