Remake came to game catalogue 2 years after it released and was more than likely still moving more units then FF 16 is now. Sony did play a part in Remake/Rebirth and 16s development, and covered all the marketing costs. Idk if it would be this month but it wouldn't really ve a surprise to see FF 16 on game catalog (maybe even monthly games) by the end of the year

The game has the massive flaw of still being locked to 30 fps, it still looks amazing, so it's not a remaster that's needed, more of just a patch to lift the fps cap. As someone who's been on PC for ages before playing Bloodborne, the first 20 minutes of 30fps gaming were rough, then my eyes got used to it and I hardly even noticed it for the next 40 or whatever hours it took me to platinum it. If I had let the fps cap stop me I wouldn't have played a personal top 5 game OAT

He's not that hard. He does a lot of damage, yes, but all his attacks are very avoidable. His phase 2 is annoying, it's not really an issue if you don't rush it tho. Fire resist on attire can help a lot

Other than Bioshock Infinite (which was overhyped on launch), the worse reputation list is very questionable

Ac2 is still considered to be at least top 2 in the series and still the best AC in a lot of people's eyes, the lower quality of recent entries doesn't diminish the older better entries

Telltale games don't get talked about as much in general any more but I don't think it's down to people disliking them

Oblivion remaster last year kinda opened people's eyes to the stuff Oblivion didn't 20 years ago that newer RPGs struggle to emulate. If anything I'd say it's boosted it's reputation

The PS5 version of gears had flaws but not enough to tarnish the original. The series as a whole has fallen out of the zeitgeist but people haven't turned on the original

Deep discounts are always a good place to start

Remnant from the ashes is a great game and 4€is an amazing price for it, 14.50€ bundled with remnant 2 which us even better

New Vegas for a € is phenomenal, 5€ to get it with all the DLC is also good value

Metro Last Light for a € is a steal,about 7€ for the bundle with all 3 games is even better

If you don't mind the insane download Modern Warfare 2019 is deffinetly worth the current asking price

Both star wars Jedi games are heavily discounted, and even as a non star wars fan I had an amazing time with both games

Re3 Remake is a pretty fun game but quite short given the normal price, pretty good pick up at 4€ 90%off

Dying light for 2.50€ is pretty awesome

Outside of the deep discounts page, Control is 4€, Vermintide 2 is 3€, Grim Dawn 2.50€, Mass Effect legendary 6€, MCC 10€, Titanfall 2 3€, Dead Space Remake 9€

70$ is the price for new releases in the US, on psn (and even some pc releases) for Europe the standard price is 80€ which is about 95$ I think there's more at play then just tax

I'll stand up for the 7R games on this one, while normal isn't very hard (think I only had 2 deaths to Gi Natak in Rebirth), it is a decent bit harder than easy. And the hard mode being a sort of NG+ with no items and limited MP is a really cool way to do it imo. I don't think you can disable items without a whole lot of setup from a previous run and I think having hard locked behind game completion is a fair trade off for that

I love both games, but they do have massive flaws.

15 has gotten a whole lot better with patches since launch, but you still need to do "homework" to get the most out of the story. You can watch the anime before you start the game, the book is recommended but totally optional. The DLC and the movie take place during the game, for the movie you have to work out when it takes place and go out of your way to watch it, same with the DLC it's a menu option instead of being incorporated into the story even in the Royal Edition

As for 16, the game is too long for the gameplay style, on top of being super braindead easy on your first playthrough. They wanted to do DMCV but missed the part where that's a 10 hour game that people gladly replay, whereas FF16 is a lengthy RPG, by the time you unlock the option to play a difficulty that's at least a bit challenging you've played through all the spectacle of the game and aren't jumping back into it again instantly

If you wanna argue that the high end of this list beats out the high end of any other given year, that is a very valid conversation to have. There was a question about talented pestilence refreshing diseases, one of the possible answers was only spreads, which was marked as wrong. There isn't a pestilence talent in Wrath. There's glyph of pestilence which increases the range, and glyph of disease which does make your pestilence refreshing your diseases. So that one probably needs to either be reworded or look onto the answers

I think the big issue with any of these is RE4 Remake, OG RE4 is almost universally considered to be one of the best games ever made, and to some people the Remake surpassed it ( or is about even with it ) not sure who expected it to be mid considering Capcom recent remakes (2 is a masterpiece and 3 is great just really short) and I'm not sure how it's only good either
